    I think you should be able to build components that can be embedded into a rich text element in order to make CUSTOM rich text elements for your clients to use on their self added content pages.

    I almost stopped using webflow. This is making me want to reconsider.

      @@MilesRoxas Did you ever end up making this video? I've been trying to add my rich text content from a CMS Collection into a Rich Text Block for days and it's driving me insane. When I hit the Element Settings of a Rich Text Block it only gives me the option to "Edit Rich Text" and doesn't give me the option to link it to my CMS content. So frustrating!!

      @@PGMNTdigitaloh man I’ve been so behind on content but still planning on releasing it soon! I actually had that same issue but it was because I had made the right text block before webflow updated the rich text component. What solved it for me was just deleting the rich text element and dropping a new one in and then the ability to link it worked again.

      Yea that’s what I get for rushing to export! Better quality next time for sure!

    how about making rich text element max width something specific like 900px but letting images shown at full width even above 900px? without manually adding padding to all text elements separately?

    Thanks for the video. It's really frustrating that we can't add styling to the image blocks. I want to add more padding at the top and bottom of my images, but I can't without adding spacing to all paragraphs.

      I want to believe this is a bug that they’ll soon fix because it doesn’t make any sense! I’m looking for ways around it and will report back if I can hack it some way😂

      Just checked too and it looks like we can edit the figure and image again. Good thing that was a temporary glitch during the rollout because it would have been kind of ridiculous....Thanks for letting all of us know!

    Why does webflow delete all my content when i hit "disconnect property" in the rich text settings? That seems weird, no matter what i do when I link it to CMS and then try to edit the text by disconnecting it, everything inside the rick text element disappears and I cant even edit the text field...

    • @MilesRoxas
      @MilesRoxas  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The best approach is to have a page that has a rich text element with the same class and styles that you’ll be using in your cms template pages. You can’t style the html tags in there once you connect it. They become locked and linked to the data in your CMS. Because rich text elements are actually made up of different HTML tags, Webflow seems to lock styling so it can inject/replace the content with what you have in your CMS. Unfortunately Webflow views all the text in a rich text element as one data point or field similar to when you connect a text block or a paragraph field to a heading or paragraph element it will replace all that text automatically. If you want static text which means it will appear on all pages belonging to the same CMS template page entry then you should create a different rich text element.

      @@MilesRoxas Yeah, i kinda figured out it works this way now. I was watching an older course in which rich text worked differently. So basically either use multiple rich text elements or edit rich text directly in the CMS panel.
