I went here a few years ago for a day out I was told by the railway people at warcop there trying to link it back up to appley station. I believe it's all charity based. The line is still there for the interests of the army too.
I understand a bridal way company bought the land where the intact track is still there but there's a dispute on what they want to do can you walk this part of track ?
Ice only just found your very interesting channel and I look forward to more. Just so you know, the first half of this video that's not the disused railway... it's something much older, it's the Roman road known as 'The Street'. One of the possible A66 doubling alignments is to use the Roman road.
