Imagine if FNAF came out officially on the Wii U. The potential of using the gamepad to check cameras while having the office on the TV would be amazing. You would still have the feeling of being partially blind while looking at the cameras as you have to look down at the gamepad and interact with it physically keeping your attention away from the office doors and windows. The Wii U version would be extremely unique to other consoles and be a fresh feeling take on the series.
That would require Nintendo actually being smart with the Wii U; but they already failed that when they named the thing.

@@MarioYoshi4723 Nintendo Land did a good job utilizing the gamepad.
It'd make it way too easy, since you could check the cameras while still having full view of the office. It would also make it impossible for Bonnie or Chica to kill you since they only enter the office if you have the camera up.

the reason this port was So good is because it was made by a actual fan of the game and not some porting company
He did mention the port having glitches like the footsteps and foxy ai, he mainly just seemed to be praising the controls

The porting company for the fnaf games is the literally the company that made the engine that fnaf is running on

I remember back when I played this version a few months ago, Freddy was legit camping my door on night 4 from about 1 AM until my power ran dry. I haven't beaten this version because of that tbh. Happens waaay too often
This just sounds like regular Freddy in fnaf 1. He generally doesn’t move away from the office, only moving towards you if he is allowed to.
if anyone wants to check this out: I believe this only works on New 3DS modes, not the original runs, so if you happen to only have an original model of the original 3DS/XL/2DS, you may be out of luck
EDIT: I'm getting replies saying it _does_ work on old models, so I guess I was wrong! must've been thinking of something else

Holy crap, I've thought the same thing! And while I'm not a big fnaf player, I knew something was up with the animatronics. Also there's ports of fnaf 2, 3, and 4 as well for the 3ds! Unfortunately they aren't super polished, one glitch I remember from FNAF 2 3ds was being able to have your camera up and have your mask on at the same time, also FNAFs 4's moving animations were cut, but I guess that's to be expected on something like the 3ds. Anyways, awesome video, I love anything that still gives attention to the 3ds, definitely one of the best handhelds of all time!
There should be a Wii u version, the cameras could be on the gamepad and you use the touch screen to control them and use the analog sticks to turn in the office on the tv screen and the shoulder and bumper buttons for doors and lights.
5:37 I think what would be a good fix is that the switch has an option for this where you can choose the sensitivity of the touch screen. Maybe that'll help?

Actually, if I recall correctly foxy doesn't start running until you look at the hallway he's supposed to come through in the original release either. I have the original copy and it's always been like that for me at least. I think him running through the halls whether or not you check the camera for the hallway is a feature that was added with the console ports and Help Wanted. Cause in the pc and mobile version, I can swear that that wasn't a thing. He would ALWAYS wait for you to check the hallway camera before he started running so I'd always have the luxury of checking pirate's cove, putting down the camera, closing down the door, picking the camera back up and then checking on foxy which would thereby trigger his running animation and wadduyu know, the danger is pretty much non-existent.
I recently found this channel and I’m in love with it. Mike has a great sense of humour and the animation is really charming. Keep it up 👍
Golden Freddy is actually in the switch version of fnaf 1, it’s the first place I found him, I got fnaf on my switch about a year ago and saw the poster, and I even have a recording of it
Just pointing this out. The touch controls on Switch aren't touch controls, they're mouse controls being translated as touch controls in handheld play because they use the same input method. When you plug in a USB mouse in docked mode, you can play it like the original PC release essentially. This is why the office scrolling is weird.
sadly they wont make an official FNaF 1 3DS port because they stopped making games for the 3DS :( so this port is all we've got

assuming the mechancis are the same as on PC, you don't need to check pirate's cove, you just need to use the cameras in general to make foxy stay in place(it's why the foxy trick in night 1 only works when you don't use the cameras at all)

Honestly, this should have been on the original DS. The game's all just prerendered graphics anyway, and both screens are the same resolution and size on the DS.

I have the Core Collection on my Switch, and FNAF 1 is the only one that lets me use touch screen.
I own a 2ds and the touch screen is very sensitive so this game would be very nice to play on it tbh
bro doesn’t Even though you don’t have to be specifically looking at pirates cove to keep foxy in check or the different version is just programmed differently in that aspect.

it wouldnt be possible to put the cams on the bottom considering the fact that when animatronics enter your room when you are in the cams they pull down the cams to jump scare you, so you wouldnt be able to both see the office AND the cams

The moment I found out this was a think I immediately pulled out all my 3DS units and started installing it. THANK YOU.
(Also fun tip. If you wanna get a cheaper 3DS and don’t care about the eShop. Get a Japanese unit and Mod it. With some settings changes and the region changed to American, the machines work great and can at least use system updates and Wi-Fi. No eShop or game updates though.)

With the Touch Issue you should check your switch's Touch Screen Sensitivity as you might have it on the lower setting which is why it is so bad with reactivity compared to a phone
For me, the L button to use the camera is really comfortable for me

The switch is fine for me cause my fingers are small. It knows exactly where I’m trying to press so I think for people with normal to large hands it could be difficult.

like: if i play a 1:1 recreation of fnaf made on scratch or something it's not pirating it because it TECHNICALLY isn't the same game.
if foxy doesn’t work unless you check the cameras and all the other animatronics work pretty much the same, you could literally do nothing and win

you don't have to check the hallway Foxy runs down, all you need to do is wait around 25 (I think) seconds after he leaves Pirate's Cove
checking the hallway only speeds up that time

FNaF came out on mobile years ago scott and clickteam just remade the mobile versions to be more like the PC version.

I think why Golden Freddy wasn’t on the switch port it’s because his jump scare crashes the game how can you do that on the switch?
They could’ve put extra effort into it by making the game auto close, but that probably would be too much for a switch game (especially for a indie game), or they could’ve done something like batman arkham asylum where it makes a fake error screen and reboots the game (basically takes you back to the warning screen then menu)
This was about the 3DS, not the switch.

Some other little possible flaws I'd like to point out myself are:
From personal experience, the animatronics seem a little bit aggressive on night 1 compared to what I've seen so far in real FNaF, and Foxy seems to peek out of Pirate's Cove on night 1, as well.
But, despite that, this port is definitely better in terms of controls and movement/speed compared to the Switch version that you showed onscreen.

I tried it and night 3 is super buggy...like animatronics still being at the stage yet they are somehow also at your door. Plus the animations are horrible. I ran into a glitch with every game that was ported to the 3ds.
