Not just you, relaxing and enjoyable but so are all of his other videos, these are more so though because we get to see him interacting with his customers.
"Supporting" is only temporary. Customers come back for quality and prices that is worth their hard-earned money. Buying from a local producer should always be a win-win for both the customers and producers.
Dear Pete, I hadn't been on an excursion in a long time and was feeling shut in lately so, I said to myself what would be a fun change of pace and within a reasonable distance of Western Mass and I thought of you and Just A Few Acres Farm. I have been watching you regularly for about two years and I love your informative and engaging style, your wisdom and incredible mechanics' skills. I just got home this Sunday afternoon to find your new video from yesterday's market, and while I didn't make the cut 😉, this will always be on my favorites list. I just wanted to mention that though the long line of cars coming in moved slowly, it kept moving and people were always leaving, so spaces opened, up as early shoppers left. Inside the market is just as you described and more. This video was such a huge surprise and the perfect finish to my weekend at the Ithaca Farmer's Market. Thanks Pete.
Pete, I’m so happy that your day at the farmer’s market was so successful! You said in the last video that directly selling the food you produced to the people who would eat it is the most fulfilling part of being a small farmer, so you must have had a fantastic day.
Good morning Pete! Sunday morning time for my favorite video Just a few acres gotta love it! In the world we live in today it’s heart warming to just watch your show it gives me a sense of normalcy thanks again Pete!
Hello Pete As always look forward to the videos. As a farmer selling Chicken I would had never took the leap to make dreams come true without your videos and continued videos showing the good and the bad of farming. I had all intentions of starting a TH-cam channel but I simply can not find the time to do it with all the farm task. Keep up the great work and THANKS to you and your family for unknowingly giving many a drive, map and encouragement to step out of norm and run with our dreams. Fresh from Florida - Eric
Re-sellers always give honest farmers a bad name. If I lived closer, I'd buy your beef, pork and eggs. Thank you for all the hard work you do to bring people genuine real, healthy food that's not contaminated and poor quality like the grocery stores. have a great day and I'll see you next time. ❤❤your channel!
Hi pete if I lived anywhere near you I would by all my meat and chicken’s from you regardless of the price seen how you grow everything so simple yet so fresh keep it up mate and hello from Australia
I grew up in Seattle, and I never realized how lucky I was to have such a large farmer's market in my city. I know it's mostly famous for the "flying fish" mongers and the gum wall but, they sell everything there. From fruit, flowers and vegetables, to artisanal roasted almonds and pottery.
So lucky in what you have there. We are rural southern Ohio. We have a lot of land , but NO small farmers, or a market like that. We would love to embrace new people to come use the land to farm. God Bless you all.
Great Video Pete. Lots of people buying, we have a few of these places but not this big. I think its funny to see a Man with his hair in a Bun........A Man Bun and he has a Beard @ 7 : 25 / 15 : 04.🤣🤣
Pete, I know your Market days are your de-stress day from the week, although living in a peace of heaven it shouldn't be to bad. Like you said its your meet and greet day and its great to get out from your everyday grind. Hope you have a blesses Sunday.
I love your Farmers Market; I miss having one around as I used to frequent the ones in previous places I lived. It for me also embodies a sense of community, even if many of the customers are transitory, just a fun place to spend a couple of hours, with the benefit of very fresh, organic food. And it's nice to be able to speak to the person who produced all that goodness. Have a great day.
Thanks for the peek of the farmers’ market. I always enjoy it when you share your Saturdays at the market. We have a “traveling” farmers’ market that sets up on different on rotating days in several of our local, small cities. If you missed your favorite on Wednesday afternoon, you can find them on Sunday morning in the neighboring town.
Great video Pete. Love everything about the farmers market, especially when you walk around and show the other vendors. Keep making your videos, always a plus when I see a new one is there to watch!!
Well oiled farm! Pete, you teach the whole spectrum of farming. Very grateful for your time. Blessings and thanks again for your gift to help others. From southeast Georgia.
Hello Pete. I finally got to watch your video just minutes after it was downloaded. I always enjoy your videos of the farmer's market, lots of neat things to see. We do have some farmers markets in our area, they are not quite as big as yours and we also have folks that set up little booths at selective stores parking lots. Probably a half a dozen or more within a 15 miles radius of my home. They are real fun to go to, we just don't make the time like we should. Enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing, have a wonderful Sunday and week ahead.
Dan, really like you comment, we are limited to one or two farmers markets spread about 40 mile apart. In south Texas we have huge flea markets. You do have one or two sellers but not local produce. It's mostly imported stuff from Mexico they get from local warehouses. Have a nice day Dan.
Having been raised on a small farm in Wis. ., former ag teacher, gardening lover, I enjoy your videos so much . all 10 of us kids are Master Gardeners. Thank you and Hillary so much. .
I was going to make a trip this summer from Cleveland to see this market and meet Pete, but it's one heck of a drive. I spent many summers traveling through the area on the way to Albany from Buffalo with my parents and siblings visiting cousins and such. Also stopped for a few days in Syracuse and Waterloo. Lovely part of the country!!!!!
Enjoy the farmers market videos. We have them around here, but I see room to enhance them with more products from the area. Always pick up something from you I can use.
Pete, Hey, I completely understand what happens at farmers market and flea market.BUSY is the word can't video much when things are so busy BUT I really Love the relaxing moments when you have time to talk and take us around and explain the difference between your market.
This has to be one of the most interesting and even exciting videos I've seen you do yet. I don't know why, but somehow the way you showed the lifeblood of the farmers market lit a fire under me to find out more about my own local area and I want to find out if there are farmers markets around my own neck of the woods. I live in the heart of Iowa and am surrounded as far as you can see by farmland so there MUST be farmers markets around here somewhere. It just hit me square between the eyes, the things you said, about the real value of having a farmers' market and making it a part of your life and how important it is to do so. Oh my goodness, you are so right!! I loved the way you took your camera and walked around the market showing all the many different kinds of vegetables and pointed them out and named them one by one, that was so incredibly interesting and informative, thank you for doing that one simple thing. I had no idea there were so many different varieties of tomatoes, I had no idea what some of those vegetables were called. I enjoyed that so much! It just never really sunk in, the true value of having this in a community and what a great resource it is for all people everywhere. I loved everything about this video, I want to hear more. I want to support this sort of thing. I want to join in and be a part of this wonderful basic need. Pete, you are such a blessing. I love what you do and the way you do it. Thank you!
Great point I think we have become so big for our own britches we’ve lost our direction. I can visualize vast Iowa farm land with endless rows of corn or wheat or even cows and pigs that you really can’t directly buy it’s gotten so commercial big business if you will, alot of mouths to feed. Looking back 50 or 100 years ago life seamed so simple now I’m not so sure the way we’re headed is the way to go.
Thank you Pete. It’s always a joy to follow along with you at the Farmers Market. I Love seeing people enjoying themselves and having the opportunity to buy Local.
Hey Pete thanks for bringing us along at the farmers market, loved it, I wish you were close to me I would buy from you. Loved seeing market and all the fresh produce and products.
Greetings from Florida! Wonderful vblog, Mr. Pete! I love watching them after attending Sunday services. Sir, you have an awesome way of video presentation. Thank you!
Pete. Our market here at Web City Missouri is a grown local only vendors. Just a small way to support our local farmers and ranchers. Keep doing what you and Hillary are doing.
So lovely to see! The farmers in our area got a raw deal this year. The county runs the farmers market in our area and this year allowed vendors to e resellers of grocery store products. The farmers quit! The good news is there is at least one farm store in the area that sells local foods. They are now very busy! Local farms can sell through them or trade with them. Guess that is how the people and farms vote on what they want.
A lovely video Pete that market has a lovely calm and friendly atmosphere to it the location is great people sitting by the lake having lunch or a band playing, a great day for you selling all your stock as-well as promoting the market showing all the produce on other stall's good on you Pete.
Yes you are so right Pete! I managed a farmers market for a couple summers and we saw exponential growth because we were very particular about authentic food & products. It just grieves me to see these markets shoot one toe off at a time allowing reselling because" we need to have what people want" and then in a couple years wondering where their clientele AND their legitimate farmers went! AARGH...
Baby new potatoes, yellow and green beans, new baby carrots and those baby tiny corn cob thingys all boiled together, drained and add cream blend and butter. I know it as hodgepodge here in Nova Scotia. Really good with bbq steak. Mmmm. Wish I lived closer to your market Pete. So much to choose from.
I think you do great every single time your on the top of my favorite TH-cam channel your like having a best friend...thats how I see you talking to us all as your friends
Hi Pete I love the videos of the Ithaca market, this Saturday was really crowded, better this way the economy runs, a hug from Italy to you and your loved ones. :)
The closest farmers market to me is in a state Park and is primarily crafts. I don't think the farmers are being invited so I've asked park staff to reach out to them. They don't think they would come. I advised them otherwise and got them some farmers numbers to try and help, told them people are looking for better quality than Walmart. Thanks for your videos Pete. Have a good day!
Pete, I've had this idea floating around in my head for awhile. When you get around to finishing your old International pickup, what about finding a freezer box to replace the bed. You could use it for your farm to market truck. (Kinda like a Schwan's truck)
Great Marketing lessons Pete. Those rules are universal and work for every kind of products. But you have such a wise sound judgement and a true customer dedication and this is what is driving your success. Greets from the other side of the Atlantic. I wish I could come and buy at your market every Saturday !
Yeah, its market day. Always fun and new people. When you were showing what that customer was sticking up on, and showing your board, I saw forest edge. What is that? Say hey to Hillary. Have a great day.
Thanks for sharing your amazing market with us! What a treasure this is to your community! I hope your customers realize what a unique opportunity they have to buy the freshest and best products! 👌
I enjoy so much watching your videos 📹 ☺️. I love the animal 🐖 and 🚜 farmers market videos especially. You lead one heck of a good life. All my best wishes to Hilary and you always ❤️
That is the thing that is happening around here. There are a very few farmers selling what they themselves grew or made. I wish that when we're were farming we found that end of the farming. We raised Angus and every fall we would send our extra cattle to a sales barn. Lost our shirt tails every year. Glad to see you at the farmers market. The farmers market end of the farm is gratifying. Love watching your videos.
Pete we have lots of such markets here in the UK. Some newly formed but many going back hundreds of years. Thing is a good market that is properly regulated always has a certain buzz about it. Good morning pete. I just came in from working in my garden and seen your new post. You inspire me to expand my hobbies. I live in Michigan and am currently researching chicken breeds for my seasons. I also just bought a john deere thats been in my family for over 80 years. With manuals and help from friends I plan to restore it.
Hey Pete, Just LOVE your channel. I even have my 92-year-old mother hooked as she can navigate her way to TH-cam and use your experiences to relive her days on the farm. Pete, a couple videos earlier you mentioned getting merchandise, I am so excited to hear that it will be coming. I would love to see some low-profile hats and if you could work a Dexter or Farmall on it all the front that would be great. I really love the shirt you wear sometimes that has Just a Few Acres on top with a picture of a Farmall tractor underneath. I think that shirt with a Farmall, a Dexter (perhaps Patty), or even the pigs would be just great. I live in Conn and planning a trip to the Ithica Farmers Market on Saturday, Sept 17th with a cooler in hand. I hope to see you or Hillary. All the Best Pete and keep up these videos, they are precious
You did great Mr. Pete. When you have folks there with cash and they're ready to shop, You put down the camera and wait on them. Outstanding farmer's market.
I live in Louisiana, we don't have anything like what you have there, it looks awesome to just go around and shop for what you want and not just what you need, hope to visit you one day, keep those videos coming
Is it just me or are the farmers market videos just relaxing and very enjoyable?!
Watching other people work .... Very relaxing 😀
Not just you, relaxing and enjoyable but so are all of his other videos, these are more so though because we get to see him interacting with his customers.
They are
i love them too! i loved shopping with my mom every Saturday, i miss it!
Some of my favorite
So exciting to see a community come out to support local farmers and artisans.
"Supporting" is only temporary. Customers come back for quality and prices that is worth their hard-earned money. Buying from a local producer should always be a win-win for both the customers and producers.
One of the nicest part of the video was seeing all those people once again out and about.
Our freedom to get out and socialize is critical beyond belief.
Dear Pete, I hadn't been on an excursion in a long time and was feeling shut in lately so, I said to myself what would be a fun change of pace and within a reasonable distance of Western Mass and I thought of you and Just A Few Acres Farm. Farmers markets are the life blood of independent farmers and need to be fully protected and supported
My favorite series

Where in Florida are you? Looking for local food
We need more people like you in this world Pete.

I feel the same way. But i am from Denmark in Scandinavia.

Washington state overall is pretty blessed with a lot of really good farmers markets, art fairs, community gatherings..
That gave me quite a chuckle. All that beef, pork, chicken and you eat tuna! 🤣🤣🤣
Our 2 year old grandson loves listening to you and the cows bellow. Your voice has a definite soothing effect on him. Thanks Pete!!
I felt like I had tuned into a PBS documentary. You're so thourough and down to earth. glad I found your family and channel. Keep doing what you do.

Great video Pete. Love everything about the farmers market, especially when you walk around and show the other vendors. Keep making your videos, always a plus when I see a new one is there to watch!!
I love that they make sure everything is in fact local, i think all places should do that.

More than just a great way to market local products, the Farmers Market is a huge asset to the feeling of community in your area.

Thank you Pete. It’s always a joy to follow along with you at the Farmers Market. I Love seeing people enjoying themselves and having the opportunity to buy Local.
I'd enjoy a farmers market live stream. Very relaxing to watch. Thanks for the video.
I love watching the farmers market video.I wish we had one in Savannah, Ga. I love it when you call the cows ,COME ON COWS, and then come running.
I wish we had one here like this to support our local farmers
Great video Pete. I like the idea that everything is locally grown there. I'd do all of my shopping at a farmers market like that.
Hey Pete thanks for bringing us along at the farmers market, loved it, I wish you were close to me I would buy from you.
Loved seeing market and all the fresh produce and products.
I love ‘your’ Farmers Market! Integrity is important! Glad it works for you!
Greetings from Florida! Wonderful vblog, Mr. Pete! I love watching them after attending Sunday services. Sir, you have an awesome way of video presentation. Thank you!
I wish there were more videos to watch everyday and for 30 minutes. This should be on TV!
Another great video! It's nice to see what a great ambassador you are for the farmers market there in your area they are blessed to have you!
Thanks for sharing, always a pleasure.
Pete. Our market here at Web City Missouri is a grown local only vendors. Just a small way to support our local farmers and ranchers. Keep doing what you and Hillary are doing.
I enjoy watching you at farmers market, you inter acting with the customers and other farmers is great.
Good on you Pete! Take care and may God continue to bless you and your family! I'll continue to tune in "same bat time, same bat channel"!
Pete, We love your videos. No one does it better. Turning hard work into fun and a joy of doing your job makes for a great video.

Love to see video of the farmer's market. Glad you see you selling out your products. Best wishes Pete, Hilarie and family.
You are awesome !!!! I can't wait to see what you do every day. Thank your taking us with you
happy you had a good day Pete, thank you.
If we were closer, I’d be at your market spending all my money. I love your Farmers’ Market. Thank for the tour.
Awesome video thanks Pete. We just got into a market this year and it has been great to share what we grow with others and the demand is high!
Good morning Pete & Hilary !!!
A lovely video Pete that market has a lovely calm and friendly atmosphere to it the location is great people sitting by the lake having lunch or a band playing, a great day for you selling all your stock as-well as promoting the market showing all the produce on other stall's good on you Pete.
As some one who will be entering farmers market to sell beef myself, it was very interesting to see your take on a farmers market.
What a wonderful organic place thank you 😊
Yes you are so right Pete!
What a beautiful market! Thank you for showing us!
So God made a farmer :) Thank you, Pete!
I think everything Pete puts out is relaxing and enjoyable.
It is a very beautiful place. Wo love the summers there. No winters there please. Thanks Glenn
Yay! Market day!! He's back, baby!!!
Pete, you are selling much more than your meat and eggs. I hope the Farmer's Market idea increases and increases across our nation.
Pete we have lots of such markets here in the UK. Some newly formed but many going back hundreds of years. Thing is a good market that is properly regulated always has a certain buzz about it. Great video as usual that gives atmosphere and fleshes out the bones of where you live for your UK cousins. Talking of which my late cousin lived in Albany NY and knew your area well. Oh yes why not organise some hangers for your signage to save time at the end of the day// Cheers and god bless from the UK.
I love it when you show the Market.
Thank you! Great video. Have a great Sunday!
"Gorges!" I can't get enough of this.
I liked at the end of your video the little girl was asking you questions, that was so cute.
Amazing, what a beautiful market. Everything looks healthy, fresh and tasty.
That was a great video. Thank you for showing us this outstanding farmers market.
Good market day. Profitable and communal.
So glad your sales are back up! Love watching this!
Market looks great today!
Thank you for the video Pete!
