- "For ten thousand years the immortal Night Elves cultivated a druidic society within the shadowed recesses of Ashenvale Forest. Yet recently the catastrophic invasion of the Burning Legion shattered the tranquility of their ancient civilization. Led by the Arch-Druid Malfurion Stormrage and the Priestess Tyrande Whisperwind, the mighty Night Elves rose to challenge the demonic onslaught. Though victorious, the Night Elves were forced to sacrifice their cherished immortality and watch their beloved forests burn. Seeking to regain their immortality, a number of wayward Druids conspired to plant a special tree that would link their spirits to the eternal world. Despite Malfurion's warnings that Nature would never bless such a selfish act, the Druids planted the great tree Teldrassil off the stormy coasts of northern Kalimdor. Within the twilight boughs of the colossal tree, the wondrous city of Darnassus took root. However, the great tree was not consecrated with Nature's blessing and soon fell prey to the corruption of the Burning Legion. Now, the wildlife and even the limbs of the great tree itself are tainted by a growing darkness. As one of the few Night Elves left in the world, it is your sworn duty to defend Darnassus and the wild children of nature against the Legion's encroaching corruption."

It's the only game I know about that has a race called worgen, but their female looks like a chihuahua. NICE! XD

I completely see where you're coming from, and that which game is better and more enjoyable is a person preference.
I enjoy Wow, and right now I've had my eyes on this game called Eso, and another game: Ff14, I think I've played it before, but I can't remember. People have said a lot of good things about them, and even that if Wow had launched a little later than it has, FF14 would've been "The best mmo of all time".
When I play WoW and this song comes I always stop walking/playing and I then close my eyes and listen. When it's over I continue killing and questing.

I just started playing World of Warcraft. Had three sons, now men, that played when it first came out. Thought it was too complicated for an old lady like me. They just made me a night elf druid character, and I am Spellbound and Enchanted with this game. Actually it is more than a game: it is a way of Life :). Thank you for this incredible musical score. When WoW first came out and was not ridiculous....that feeling of walking into Darnassus/Ironforge/Stormwind and hearing the theme song come on for the first time.
Endless likes for this comment. When I started playing the BETA and walked into Ironforge... Followed by Stormwind... Damn. I really felt like I had entered, and become a part of, a new world.

I always likes Night Elves more than blood elves because they are more... mature to me. I view them as more ethereal and spiritual than their kin. Maybe it's that they are associated more with the moon and stars and nature, while the blood elves are more of a daytime, magic focused race. The night and the beauty of it has always appealed greatly to me.
I also feel like the Night Elves have a much richer culture, they seem more ancient to me, so definitely more mature. I like the way the blood elves look, but it doesn't compare to the Night Elves at all.

And unlike the Night Elves, all Lotr elves are immortal, even down to the lowliest class in society. And there is no way to take they're immortality away from them, unless you kill them. Night Elf Rogue - Evlynn - created when I was probably 3 years old. my dad even printed out a certificate saying my created character :') I still play to this day, and I am 15. I had switched factions to a goblin. worst mistake I've ever made. Night Elf at heart
Somethimes, you can realy be amazed at the thought that someone dislikes this. I mean I can understand you dont love it, but it's something you cant dislike.... it's just neutral at that point. But these things proove that there are ppl who just go around and dislike just for their own little worthless sleves
You must be fun at parties. I can't relate to people that dislike cheesecake. I think it's the most amazing dessert. But those people exist. I hope you grew up a little in 4 years.

When I came back to wow after long brake, and entered Ashenvale in cata, and heard this... much feels, such emotions. I played this game with my friends, and I didn't play with them for years, and this music just boosts everything.
One of my favorites. I miss being in wow, pre Cata (Not that I don't still play) . :)
One of my first alts was a Nelf Druid, I remember casting green wrath spells in caves like it was yesterday. Oh and the sound of Rejuvenation gives me a nostalgic feeling, too! I Miss a lot. All my main alts are Alliance. I do have some horde, ofc, but I just always felt more connected with the Nelf and Human Areas. I could almost cry when I wish I could go back to them days in Teldrassil, though. The way it was when everything was new and exciting to me.
I wanted something to relax me before going to sleep. This is best!

Where is my favourite WoW music? Shaping of the World. That's fits perfectly the night elves, my favourite race. Also, the Warcraft 3 tracks are amazing. Could have included those. Specially the one from Reign of Chaos.

I don't like Nights Elves or Bood Elves , I just like Elves for the persons they are . As I can remember, Bood Elves were Night Elves once . And I can feel they are specials , they really are ! Great music, just great :')

As of Legion the only known Aspect leader still around is Kalecgos, the recently-appointed new leader of the Blue Dragonflight, the Aspect of Magic, but he helps the Council of Six in Dalaran, with Khadgar as the head of the council, Alexstrasza the Dragonqueen and Nozdormu the Bronze Dragonflight leader, is as far as we know MIA and the Black Dragonflight is leaderless unless Ebonhorn or Wrathion reforms it.

I feel in Malfurion's skin for a second; I realized that I live in this world but I'm tied and not tied to it at the same time (FLYIng feels) and that there are so many Worlds out there, it's beautiful. I felt as if I belonged here but I could switch to a dreaming/positive-trance state to heal and help Nature as whenever she needed. the connection to the owl-birds, and a not-so-care to wordly matters/needs; only to Life.
