on the blue angel ripping past and blowing the beach gear everywhere:
one of the jets experienced a problem. it left pensacola beach, returned to NAS pensacola, switched aircraft, and returned to finish the show. the high speed pass was that jet coming back to its place in the show in time to rejoin the formation after the section high alpha pass.
(I was there. just closer to the pier.)

Iv been next to lightning twice in my life. You can feel it coming. The static electricity, the flash, the sound of electricity snapping and then the explosion. Unreal. 👍
I was on a bus on a bridge once, that was struck by lightning. The bus buzzed and the windows vibrated. The driver swore. I don't think everyone knew what happened, but I did. The bus acted like a Faraday Cage. 🌩️😳
EXACTLY! I was right by a window in my house. A kind of outdated window, I think, because it had a metal frame. Suddenly every hair on my body went straight out and there was an accompanying crackling sound. I took my hand off the windowsill to look at my arm hairs and BOOM!! I saw nothing but bright blue for a split second and the sound was incredible! It was over before I could register it and I was fine. Everything was fine, lol.
The smell of scorched air afterword is… unique. I weirdly like it
This is why I'm so surprised at how clueless people can be on top of hills and mounts when their hair starts to stand straight up. It's impossible to believe that they don't feel *any* electrical charge in the air because it's *palpable and you can smell it.* Yet these people stand there grinning like idiots, but end up in hospital with 3rd degree burns or worse, wind up dead.

June, July, and August aren't just "considered" winter in South Africa, it IS WINTER during those months in South Africa --- same with everywhere else in the southern hemisphere.

Seriously though I once saw a water spout off the beach at Brighton, Sussex, but it stayed out at sea and vanished, those beach goers in Russia, were very unlucky. 😳
I went to an airshow at Southend in Essex once, but the music from the pubs and amusements was louder, than the planes. One pub had vibrating windows, being there must have been like sitting inside an amplifier.
A bolt of lightning hit a neighbour's garden once; they still have a bald patch on their lawn. Lightning crystallises the ground. 🌩️

You do realize that the 90s and early 2000s are vintage now and that makes that plane ancient now.
Also, just because something is old doesn't mean it isn't good. A bit more work and it would have been operating perfectly!
The enhanced Fujita scale is not the best way to judge a water spout, in my opinion. The EF scale is used to judge the strength of a tornado based on the damage it leaves behind. This means a tornado that would normally be an EF4 in terms of wind speed could be considered an EF0 or 1 if it doesn't hit anything. The same thing applies to water spouts. What are they going to hit in the open ocean besides a maneuverable boat or a fish that swam too close to the surface at the wrong time. They almost always will be considered an EF0

I was at an air show at Edwards air force in Ca. and they did the distraction maneuver, The second plane floated in over the crowd nice and quiet then hit his afterburners. Scared the crowd something awful. 😅

Love the jet sounds so much that we move next to an Air Force base. As wonderful as it is to hear freedom practice their flying. These newer jets are loud. You eventually get to know When their flight path is going right over Where you live and When to cover your ears.

If you want to get technical, the hottest place on the sun is in the interior at approx 27 million degrees, whereas the corona is only a couple million degrees.

Dear Couples: Please stay away from hot air balloons. One couple in NC went on one during their honeymoon and they crashed, killing everyone on board. Tragic.

You missed the part about the plane-spotters in St. Maarten getting their thrills from the blast of the jets where the woman was thrown back and killed when she hit a hard object.
FL has the most lightening in the US.

I'm amazed that I never heard about this because where that's at is literally a 5-minute drive from where I lived, I would walk from my house to the beach, down the beach too those stairs, up the stairs and then walk back home twice a day for about a 3 year.
It's really shocking watching this and having never heard of this happening or seen it before with it having been so close to home seems like it would have been in our local paper or local news or talk of the town, But nothing.
It was absolute madness and NO accountability whatsoever!

For those that claim click bait I left you all the same comment. It's not fake. Go around the 10:00 mark...pause the video and flip the picture. That's all the still picture is. The lady covering her ears is the same just looking in the opposite direction.
Dude, nobody is claiming that the *scene* in the thumbnail is clickbait; it’s clearly a still from the video mirrored, like you said. The *jet* in the thumbnail is what’s clickbait: It was photoshopped to look like it was less than 20 feet above the beach, but in the video you can clearly see that it wasn’t nearly that close. On top of that, the jet in the thumbnail is oriented nearly perpendicular to the beach, whereas the jet in the video traveled more parallel than perpendicular.
