There is art in using plants in your garden. Then adding another layer with planters, sculptures and decor brings it all out. ❤ I make small garden houses with old windows and I use a lot of color in my garden too. We gardeners are artists !! ❤❤
We are in south gulf coast Florida. I’ve always gardened, and have never had much money to toss around. Painting containers gives them a new life! If people live in a hot climate like south Florida, the lighter the pot, the cooler the plants roots will be.
Absolutely they do look great! The caladiums and begonias you chose are such a gorgeous blend of colors. Beautiful artistic job on the containers, Grayson. They look brand new and are the perfect shape for your plant selections. I bet they grow and fill in super fast! Howdy from Houston, Texas! We love caladiums and begonias down here where it's so hot and humid!
I just did this with my planters using spray paint I had from other projects. Not near as much prep and just used the paint and primer combo colors that I had. The only ones I wish I had primered were yellow and hot pink. Red, blue, turquoise, purple and green just needed two coats.
Hello from San Pedro California! The planters look really good, I’m inspired now to spray paint my containers for a whole new patio look. Also you pointed out the Rustoleum dial nozzle, I did not know about that, but I love it. Wishing you the best, I like your relaxed approach!
I wish you were my neighbor! I love to garden. I’m in Zone 7a, northern Virginia. The planters turned out beautifully! Is that skip laurel in the background?
I guess brilliant minds think alike. I do the same with my planters whether plastic, concrete, clay or Terra cotta. I use a vast array of brilliantly colored FINGER NAIL POLISHES to color in the etchings/carvings in the pots or to paint designs free hand. To preserve my clay/terra cotta/concrete pots from crumbling I spray the inside and outside with clear FLEX SEAL (bf painting with Rustoleum, nail polish) which makes the pot waterproof (of course making sure the drain hole is sufficient). Also, using coffee filters to cover the drain hole keeps the soil in the pot. PS. ENJOYING YOUR VIDEOS FROM THE PACIFIC OCEAN SIDE OF THE U.S.
Options to consider are: 🔺 use an acrylic paint and a sponge, ti highlight or lowlight areas. 🔺 Using a Stain thinned to antique over a color and spray sealant 🔺 a variety of molds 9ffer added detail options to glue on containers 🔺 decoupage containers + seal inside and out.
Hi, Baltimore Maryland here! I'm new to your channel Love your planters! Question...I have very large heavy plastic containers, do you think I could do the same thing? Have A Great Day!
Love those planters!! The spray paint on sponge really brought it all together! They're giving me tropical vibes with the leaves on the outsides!

Thank you for subscribing. I appreciate it.
What an amazing transformation! You have a lot of artistic talent. Was just wondering how black wax would have worked in lieu of painting the leaves.
Thank you, Pam. I never thought about using black wax. That sounds like a great idea
NICE!
