That's because the Fever don't actually care about Clark. All they are doing is parading her around the league just to get ticket sales and nothing more. Also, the fact that the Fever head coach, Smith, Wheeler, and Mitchell are all taking bribes to throw games and make Clark look bad is a big indication that not all rookies get the same treatment. Yes, I said it, and it needs to be investigated. The Fever's head coach is literally throwing games on purpose, which means either the owner or the WNBA itself is paying her extra money to do so, and since Wheeler and Mitchell are her pet projects she has them icing Clark from scoring

As long as Sides is the coach, Kate will either sit on the bench like Berger or she will be dismissed from the Fever in the same way that Celeste Taylor was dismissed for helping Clark. Remember Sides benched Wallace for the rest of the game after 4 minutes because she was giving Clark the ball and making baskets. She did the same to Samuelson after that full court pass from Clark, which resulted in 2 points
