I think you'll find the technical term for that rain at the start is 'mizzle'. Think misty drizzle. I live in Cornwall so am somewhat of an expert on the subject 😜😂

You do an excellent job, love watching your videos. I'm 64 years old was raised on west coast , surfed mostly San Diego and Huntington beach . Parents moved when I was 16 i have lived 8 hours to closest waves ever since then .. I always longboarded never could short board even though I owned several . I have not been surfing in six years , i have a nerve disease called neuropathy . I retired from my job in Jan ..i hope though to get better so i can go surfing again . Thanks for the STOKE !
The first session (really clean long lines) looked like the local beach break. The second session with the short, choppy, wedges was El Slammo. But it still looked really fun and it's Ben's "secret wave" (was back in the day before the Vlog). It's a really unique wave (El Slammo) that plays off that really short jetty. If El Slammo is breaking, you know it's breaking probably twice as big at other spots (but they usually have a decent crowd during a good swell in the Summer)
I grabbed a few screen shots during that "Hell Yeah" barrel! Might make for a killer poster! Jverni, No shame in a good "Hell Yeah!" That was worth one too!! Nice work behind that camera🤙

Used to have a close by (1/4) mile away from house spot like el slamo. San Gabriel river mouth, water from S California Edison turbine coolers kept it 80-90 F all year round, 2 jetties to ride off, little 2nd side waves makin peaks.

From seaside hgts, I learned to surf during a florida visit when I was 12, started watching ur videos a couple weeks ago reminds me of my crazy a** days! I gotta order me the pineapple shorts, can u pix a 60 year old double amputee in pineapple shorts, rad!
In jersey it’s raining one second the next it’s thunder storming smart choice cuz minutes after that rain started it got so windy and the rain got insane I would of barely made it out of the water in that situation let alone maybe even drown

I feel like if BenJi can endure another cross country RV trip together, their journey as husband and wife will last 50+ years.
