I’ve use a upped gull dagger on a poison dagger necro I actually got a socket in my level 4 gull with a banging rare jewel some stats 2 resistances and a little gold find +20 poison still level 4
I found a gul dagger on the current ladder and basically ran around with it my entire run through as a sorc for normal and nightmare. Found some pretty solid stuff along the way too. Funnily enough, including an Ali Baba, but I continued using the dagger since it was more mf without having to invest any ist runes.
Back on launch day I started D2R with a druid. I wanted a fury druid. In Act I normal, almost right after the Evil's Den, I found the Gull Dagger. I played through normal, Nightmare and half of Hell with it. I made myself quite a collection of items with it. Of course, my fury druid turned out using volcanoes and then became a Wind druid.
I started playing again a couple of months ago. I didn't find one with my hell-level sorc., so I spent about an hour farming Coldcrow in normal. I found a crud-load of low-level set and unique items, except for the Gull. I always run a sorc. and a necro summoner first. While working on my summoner, I managed to find a gull from one of the council members right before fight Mephisto.
Found one right off the bat (in the Cold plains) on my barb (first time ever in 20 years), then farmed gold on my sorceress and gambled a second one on my barb at 11 (got lucky and found one after only 250k), dual wielded them through normal, combined with tancreds treads and neck, and a tarn helm (from my sorceress)... I found way more stuff than I ever have in the past on a barb leveling to 30... it was actually fun for once. My old gaming buddy CJ and always farmed up cold crow and crypts in cold plains 5 times real fast to get some decent base gear, like 10fcr rings etc. Such a fun game, but all my buddies got married, now I'm the lonesome looser on artic cold days.
Gull dagger socketed with an ist is 130 Mf Hard to beat (level51) The blade of Alli baba can do it but need to be at least level 71 +2 ists Otherwise you need at least (5-6) ists in a crystal sword to beat the gull (level51 but oof expensive)
I was honestly kinda bummed out about console ladder still not having lobbies, but I'm not sure if anyone else noticed... *super* increased drop rates. Like I just found a Nagelring randomly in A1 Normal, amongst other goodies. 😂 I'm definitely gonna hunt for a Gull to help out with that. Hard to beat 100mf for spellcasters, who barely need gear anyway. ✊🏽 I have faith we can actually gear our characters easier now.

There is a way to easily gamble it, assuming you have about half a million to a million in gold. Use a character at level 11, and that should be enough. Your cost per dagger will also be around 1600.
I ran the numbers once and calculated that in order to get a 90% chance of gambling a Gull at level 11 you need to spend about 9 million gold. Not counting the gold you get back for selling your failed rolls. For a 95% chance it's more like 15 million. You might roll it a lot earlier than that since you have to gamble daggers one by one, but this is the cost of that 90% chance if you were to make all the rolls at once. I tested this out For Science and got a Gull at around 7 million gold.
Just imagine this find item barbarian with 2 gull daggers, perfect golwarp belt, chance guard gloves, perfect war traveler boots and wealth armor, tarnhelm or shako all of them socket with IST rune or perfect topaz, do you know if this is possible and how much magic find you can have for it??

Gambling one goes either one of two ways, you either get one easily, or it takes you like 8 hours of gambling. Doesn't seem to be any in-between. I tried to gamble one for this video and after 7 full stashes if gold I still hadn't gambled one lol. Maybe you will have better luck, the optimal level to gamble gull dagger is a lowbie. Lvl 11
Unique items, set items, and rare items can be upgraded the recipes for them are different depending on the tier of the item, and the type of item. Normal difficulty items upgrade to exceptional, and those upgrade to elite. Once an item is elite tier it doesn't get upgraded anymore. So max upgrades is 2. However if an item is already exceptional quality it can only be upgraded once. I have a video on how to tell the difference between armor/weapon tiers on my channel if you have trouble identifying the differences.
Yeah act 4 killing Diablo. I don't know he can drop low level loot when I seen yellow dagger i thought not of it but when I identified it i saw that 100% MF. These are good but very low damage for sorc but then again how use melee sorc no one.

tried a few runs and got a rare dagger, so this def works.
Works.on holy fire Pally for quite some time as the only thing you really care about is attack speed.

I had one drop while I was playing an assassin, and considering how I'm using traps, I may never have to replace it.
In fact today the new find item barbarian is so good as a begginer besides gull dagger is so easy to find today with gambling reroll.

i've definitely had it drop outside the dungeon, in the open areas. What about the durability?
