One small point about leather thickness that I think could be categorized more accurately is the 1.5mm thickness: 1oz is equal to 1/64 inches or 0.4mm, so generally you won't find 1.5mm thickness anywhere on a 2-3oz hide. Rather, you'd find it in a 3-4oz hide (1.2 to 1.6mm || 3/64 to 1/16 inch).
Love all the videos and community, keep it up!!! All your videos are extremely helpful to a newbie like me; thanks Jo!

Thank you for making these very informative videos, I myself bought two square feet of vegetable tanned ox/cow leather (top grain leather, but a cheap one with visible scars etc). I figured that vegetable tanned leather was the best option for me since it’s better for the environment and the people working in the tannery. I was excited to see your video on adhesives, as the BioStik glue seems a LOT nicer (no toxic fumes etc) than what I had previously planned to buy.
The bloopers were funny, shows that I’m not alone in tripping over my own tongue when speaking!

I noticed you think a lot of different leathers are "strong". But hey, maybe you just like the word. Anyway, subscribing and thanking you. If you take suggestions, I'm partial to "Kraken".

Bellies are almost always considered to be trash. With a few exceptions, one being the Buttero Bellies from the Walpier tannery. You can practice on bellies and also make a few small items like card holders.. but anything more than that would not be recommended. It's cheap for a reason. They are far to stretchy. But as I mentioned earlier, bellies are good for practicing stitching and cutting.
