You know the trial of fire wasn't that bad for me when I originally completed it and did candle runs. However ever since a specific update I sware its gotten darker. Anybody else have the same or similar experience?
Yea, they made it darker by accident but I think it’s fixed again?
@@grillbesteck6319 oh ok. I'm glad it was a temporary mistake rather the a permanent part of the game. I'm a solo player and so getting through the trial of fire was already difficult but with the added darkness it made candle runs feel impossible. Thank goodness it was temporary and Thank you for letting me know it was temporary. I think I'm going to include the trial of fire in my candle runs again.

@@Birdteai this is very true, I did it the first time alone and on the second floor or level idk I went the wrong way and had to do it all over again but with a guide, everything was clearly visible in the guide but not on my sky, I tried to do it on a cousin's switch (Only the beginning, I was not going to do it 2 times, well 3 with the failed one) to see if it was just a problem with my cell phone but no, it looked the same, i completed it in 3 hours to 4 hours on my phone it was hard as hell
Yes it’s gotten ridiculous and it’s takin the fun out of it for me. It was a favorite of mine 😥
I think the grahics setting also helps here. The last time I did Trial of Fire, my settings was at the lowest and it took me 10 minutes to get up and 10 more minutes later to remember about the graphics setting 😩 I put it at the highest and it really gave me more "grip" on the wall.

I also don't know you can do this 3:52 instead of holding your sky kid and wipe upwards. I'll definitely try this since it looks easier than what I've been doing.

might be because im new but it does NOT take 30 minutes it took me over 2 hours to get through the first stage😭
It takes 5 hours if you suck at avoiding the monsters

Funny story time!
When I started playing Sky for like a week I found 2 players, one is a new player and the other is a veteran. The veteran player was kind enough and brought along the two of us to do all the 4 trials! I already gave a heads up that I'm just a week in and don't fully know what is what yet.
But the veteran one don't mind at all.
So the veteran hold both our hands. Mind you it was the first time I entered the trials and that veteran one did this shortcut!
It seemed so easy too, I finished all 4 trials under 30 mins. 😂
Then after 2 weeks in the game, I was so shocked to know the "truth" about the fire trial. That we actually need to light up candles and there are monsters around 😂
All because the first time the veteran did such an amazing shortcut that I will forever be grateful for ❤
For the jumping up the wall part, 3:41 to 4:15, I can never make the jump on Switch so I just spam B until I make it up 😑 very helpful video though and well made! Thank you

if you hold r you will see a circle around you and if you try to move forward while holding r, the circle will fill up. use that moving forward while holding r in place of the hold you character

For the people on switch when it comes to the jump
Press your sky kid until they do the big call and then dragged them forwards towards the rock while clicking on the jump button

I just got extremely lucky, and did it in 2 minutes. I just Saud screw it, and stopped trying to honk and jump simultaneously, and just tried spamming jump. I'm also on switch, so that could make a difference.

For some misterious reason i never started this trial and almost forgot about it til I fond your video and read some of the comments saying how consumming it can be 😭😭😭 guess i knew it from start that I didn't have the patience... But I will try for sure using your guide !!

it worked! if you think about it the steps are not too many, it looks difficult but if you do it carefully following the video its kind of easy, had a bit of trouble with the last one but still completed it! thx
the jump at 1:11 is literally so hard, my skykid just plummets down I've tried like a million times...idk if I need to be chibi to work better

Ohhh my gooood thank you so so much for making this video 💚 the jumps are a bit hard to get a hang of but with a bit of patience it works wonders
for pc players to help with the last jump from on top of the check point, hold right click until your character is actually at the tip top of the stone, THEN MAKE SURE THE FOOT YOU'RE JUMPING OFF STAYS AT THAT POINT before spamming jump while holding click (trust me after doing this + making sure to inch closer I could make the jump onto the wall reliably).
next you should be able to stand on the wall slightly towards the left side on the "marked"/darker zone on the wall, from there I just spam jumped/humped the wall until my character got on top because I was simply too big to slide around the side and jump on the ledge like the video
anyway thanks for the guide, prolly took longer but I didn't anguish as much as doing it normally

For those who are having an issue with the third trial at 3:47. Hold your character and flick it in a certain direction. A circle will appear under your character if you’re doing it right. I thought we had to hold and then somehow jump and move forward. I’m on iPad so the controls are really spread apart. 😭

you dont even need to hold it, you can just jump to the wall without :D
Right! But it makes it a bit easier if you:
▪︎Click and hold the jump button using right thumb and slide it up,
▪︎then quickly swipe up on left side using left thumb as soon as you lift your right thumb.

thank you for this! Fire trial is fun to run, but I'm not enjoying the darkness and I tihnk the candles went back to being impossible to see as of 0.17.0 update. So, came across your vid!

You can jump from other spot in the first floor to third floor that works 100% without jumping at the cliff shown on this video to the other side.

You can do it on switch too, but it is slightly harder to honk and jump with buttons. i made that jump just fine on switch around 3rd-4th try
@@Alexksandrr can you explain how you did it? Like, honk and jump at the same time? Or spammed jump? Or jumped at a different angle? I can't do it :((
I did it from the very first try, thanks a lot!
Plus, charging light also helps to create some vision on the walls.

3:50 dude i have been stuck on this part for the longest time i have no problem making the jump but my proboem is getting up 😭😭 I KEEP SLIDING OFF im about to lose my mind
I accidentally did the last part [second to last step] differently. Instead of doing the honk and jumping forward, I just made the jump and got upwards after spamming I think. By doing that, I skipped the final step of holding and rotating my Sky kid to do a jump. I hope this made sense haha.

my friends, this shortcut on the first time will be difficult but one you get used to it, its a piece of cake!
So your saying I spent an hour and thirty doing it when I could’ve done this all along TuT, also what helped me as well was using the “honk” (when you tap your head) but holding it down to get the big one, then I could see where the candles were, kinda like a radar xD

So that’s what the other person was trying to do during that level. I was so confused, it looked like they were just dancing and I was trying to lead them the normal way.
Just find someone to join hands hold candles and walk through the whole thing to the end, monsters can't hurt you
Finally I will be able to complete this trial without using too much nerves

as a returning sky player that hasn’t played since the beta launched (meaning practically new) this is possible! however, having the chibi mask on makes the last jump impossible. no worries though! if you have it on, just return home, change your mask, and use the return portal in front of the daily quest giver and it’ll drop you right back at the checkpoint
things to note
1) i’m using a ps5 controller and am playing sky on pc
2)Hold down R1 or whatever button changes your flight position and move forward on top of the check point while holding. make sure to face the wall!
3) release R1 and begin spamming jump
voila! it’s completely doable and anyone complaining and harassing the creator is simply suffering from a skill issue. it’s definitely doable, just get better lol

oh my god i did every step perfectly after so many tries😭 i think a lot of people are getting confused at the final jump (hold skykid and go forward and jump) cause at first i thought you had to use the beeps to jump but you meant holding down on it for a second to get them in that kind of ragdoll thing with their legs yknow? this helped so so much THANK YOUU😼🎉🎉

Tried on Ps4 and got it first try, no deaths!! You can't tap and hold for level three, but if you keep jumping trying, it works!
I did it by myself for the first time thanks to you. Specifically teaching how to make the jump from the checkpoint on the third floor was super helpful 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
I finally got how to do it on phone
At phase 3, u use ur skykid (chibi requires or shortest in using resize potion) and hold for a sec (as how u guys do chibi fall). Then gently drag ur right finger to the wall (where has a platform) until u guys see a circle. Then swipe ur finger up and there ( it takes some tries ). Finally, just move ur joystick up+right then jump and there u go.
I have already did this and it worked!

went into it w/ a chibi mask not knowing it would be more difficult, but your video was a life saver. I’ve tried it w/out cheating but this route, I didn’t want to rip my hair out at the end. :)

✅For that jump, first you've to climb the checkpoint.
✅Then hold on your sky kid & slightly swipe up (with right thumb), like the way you hold when using chibi fall trick.
✅When your sky kid is in stretched position, then QUICKLY swipe up (on left side of screen using left thumb).
It's just practice. That's the method to jump & hope it helps.

Don't be sad, you can do it.
✅You need to long press on your skykid using RIGHT THUMB and then move the thumb slightly forward.
✅When you're in stretched position hold this position and swipe up using the LEFT THUMB.
You should get a long jump.

For switch player it's hard but just spaming jump button when you got to jump on the checkpoint will do the trick, it takes time but after a bit it'll eventually happen

I DO NOT RECOMMEND HAVING LIGHT ON WHEN JUMPING!!
Especially on switch! If you ever make the mistake to fall in some parts you will fall on checkpoints and it will lock you entirely from the trial, and you'll have to manually go back (thru island) because home point links you back to the last point in the trial itself! Be careful!!!

Snow-kun! It's a little difficult on switch.
I've a friend who plays on switch and she does this jump very precisely. She doesn't even hold on to her skykid. Simple click on skykid and jumping simultaneously works too & doing this with buttons is difficult but possible.

Omg tysm for this. I used to do a different method with my alt but the spiral trick doesnt work anymore so i use this now 😭

@@user-kd4rj1ff6t its spiral trick. You offer pigyyback to your friend and the friend offer hand to you. Press at the same time and you will go up while spinning. Kinda like rocket trick but slower so you can control when to stop easier. The trick doesnt work anymore

It works. There's a method to do it.
Just offer your friend piggy back and when your friend accepts it, you'll notice that you are spinning around very slowly. And then simply flap your wings ONLY ONCE. You should fly in spiral motion.

Note to everyone if you f up a single jump you have to start all over because of no checkpoints. Oh and you have to be precise with some jumps like the first one at the start pr you will be stuck for 3 hours
