The Real Christ never proclaimed Christianity nor any other religions, people need to learn this. He only proclaimed the Kingdom of Heaven, which is not of this religious world.
Yes. Christianity is not technically a religion. That's why I usually state myself as a follower of Christ. It is a way of life. Of course, religion is just a system of beliefs that one has in common. And what beliefs do followers of Christ have in common? John 3:16. That is what bonds them together as one.

All who built their own places of worship are still doing the same old sins of our ancestors against God. Leviticus 26:31 I will leave your sanctuaries desolate Amos 5:21-24 I hate, I despise your religious festivals, your assemblies/congregations are a stench to me .. list goes on and on that shows that people are still sinning against God by stubbornly making their own religions and stubbornly building their own unauthorized by God places of worship (Christianity is another man made abomination) the Apostles had to endure being called "Christians" ..it was an insult because they knew they were not ever to form any new religions. God was doing away with all of man's religious abominations and creating a new way yo worship in Spirit and in Truth.. that's it.

I do not take issue with words. "Follower of Christ", "Christian", Christ Disciple", religion, etc. These are just words to describe our actions.
