I'm glad bands like this exist. I love the feeling of serenity I get from them, which I desperately need.

46:15 ELENAAAAAAA! I love how she smiles while singing 'Youth'. She looks so happy that people love that song.
I'm not a concert person, but Daughter is one of the few bands I'd actually go to a concert for.

@@designerninjaattire4469 Sadly they don't tour anymore. Maybe one day but it looks like you missed the boat :( I managed to see them a few years ago when they still were.
Hauntingly beautiful. What makes me sad most is the fact that for the 27 years of my life I haven't met a person who would know, appreciate or share this kind of music with me.
So trrue, i try share this kind of music with my friends but most of them are just... meh to it. They say "it's boring", sad.
i think the experience will always be the best if you discover music for yourself
(I agree that sharing is a great thing, though)

they're all slow and boring songs. every song sounds the same. no real beat, ambient drone, whining vocals. it would put me right to sleep if it weren't so grating to my ears.

Whatever ingor...😮 I'm finally getting the given opportunity to even hear daughter for the first time I'm just going through a daughters two daughters changing through their lives again I cannot be there for them because of others with a bad attitude that claim we don't deserve to be with one another as mother and daughter nurture and nature our bonds have been brokenbu so many we've stopped talking for years inbetween they are 32 years old I am 51 years old and have been thrown to the diges and they have been taken away from me and me from them all of our time has given frayed memories and I can say as a mother going through loss isn't because of the death defiance of the torture of broken hearts are worse than ever when there can be less chance of a common respect inate to Beng a mother is taking life's tolls without the truth of what is and what had taken in place of birth to the emptiness left when you don't have your peace of mind knowing that divinity and dignity can be so fragile as to be terrified of what is going wrong and being denied what has gone right so far fetched cause a mother cannot be there when time has the reasoning to allow such pain of the tattered heart and souls that had been taken by desired greed to steal a love so pure that it almost or cannot be replaced and has all false judgement 0

I had the chance to see them in Atlanta back in 2011...didn't because I'd never heard of them. I keep kicking myself over it. Stupid stupid stupid! lol

I love Daughter soooo much. They truly are a great band and it's amazing how much more comfortable Elena has become with performing and being in front of people. The interlude with the broken nail at about 44:50 is really quite sweet (the inconvenience and pain of the broken nail notwithstanding, of course).
I think i fell in love with her at that point

I'm an old fart who thinks music's over. Growing up listening to Led Zeppelin, Rush and Genesis makes it hard to survive through all the crap we have today. Then, when I find a rare and pure gem like this, I start do believe again I'll keep on doing what I love the most: just listening to real music.
Dang it, i was huge fan of dream theater until now, but daughter have a great place on my heart 😬

Don't get me wrong, I love the vocals.....a really great band.
Just listen to their album Music From Before the Storm if you haven’t already. It’s really good and it introduced me to Daughter in the first place.
