That old blue floor was not a pad & pour. It had seams . Poured urethane floors are seamless. That was a Mondo floor. I noticed the backing in the demo part of the video.I just tore one outI in SC and had the same look, and standing water/mildew .I install both Omnisport and poured urethane and we warranty for 15 years. If a floor I installed looked like that after 6 years, I would retire.
@@SouthTexasSportCourt so it was a poured urethane on a slip sheet? Why were the seams showing through so bad? Even on a slip sheet, the pad should have been glued to the slip sheet, perfectly flat, then 2 layers of pore sealer which should have made those seams disappear. Then a 2 mm pour. There was something very wrong with that floor
@@CRASS2047 How the old floor was installed is a mystery. The lines that looked liked seams were the joints between the pieces of mondo below the upper cushioned surface. As for the apparent flaws in the cushioned floor, we see this type of stuff all the time. And, these issues often reveal themselves within a few years of the initial installation.
Can this flooring be put over existing wood gym flooring? and can it handle the wear and tear of roll out bleachers? We have a nearly 80 year old gym floor in DIRE need of repair
The rubber underlayment is not recommended for outdoor use. It's a crumb rubber recycled product that will swell and ripple when it gets too wet. It's also not UV stabilized and would deteriorate in direct sunlight.
We've been asking Conner Sport Court (Gerflor) that question for 8 years. We sometimes spend 20+ hours per project shuffling the floor, depending upon the size of the project. If the shuffling were integrated into the manufacturing process, it would save us hundreds of hours each year.
I am a coach at one of these schools, and we are having issue with traction with the floor. What cleaning process do you recommed so that these floors are not as as slippery.
@filthyballer the floor should be cleane daily with a Court Clean drag mop as shown in this video: th-cam.com/video/PhDYLlSypz0/w-d-xo.html DO NOT use a dry dust mop. Weekly cleaning should be done with an automatic floor scrubber. southtexassportcourt.com/product/nss-wrangler-2012/ Heavy berber rugs should be placed at all entrances to collect as much incoming dust as possible. southtexassportcourt.com/product/52oz-berber-entry-mats-vinyl-ramp/ The Sport Court® Maple Select gym flooring has a multi-layer urethane topcoat. It will have outstanding traction, when the floor is clean. However, if there is dust, the floor will be slick just like any other smooth surfaced floor.
mad that backboard and rim wasn't replaced on that side hoop, also one was missing it's net. But a 10/10 job for you guys!
We actually did fix all the basketball goals, but not all were fixed before the floor was installed, so this didn't make it into the video.

Yes, there was a mondo layer at the bottom of the floor. But, the material above the Mondo was seamless.

How much is it to do all of this for my warehouse and turn it into a basketball gym court

Pretty interesting from a fellow sportcourt coating contractor

nice video
Is it possible to use rubber underlay on an outdoor court?

I just ripped out a Sportcourt and replaced it with a cushioned floor. Lol
Yeah, We've seen that happen a couple of times...then a few years later we're back installing Sport Court®.
Dumb question…..why can’t the pieces be shuffled by the manufacturer?

@@SouthTexasSportCourt wow.
@@SouthTexasSportCourt I hope you’re charging for that shuffling labor! I’m sure you have to. That’s crazy!
Wow. The waste of money is ludicrous
How is money wasted on this project?
