For a lot of people who are like 35~ roughly, it's just what we grew up with when we were kids. That was the immediate go to insult in school years. Hell, it wasn't even used only as an insult to people, it was just used to describe a shitty situation, like a synonym for bullshit. Some people grew up and stopped using it that way, others like Myron didn't. Though Myron is also giving in-the-closet tendencies and that's fueling his emotional rants because he knows he can never keep his audience and be his true self.
