Stunning! I just listened to 12 recordings and this is the best; the best French, tone, expression, intonation and quite a shimmering performance! I read her bio and her parents were both opera singers. She inherited double singing genes. Plus, she has had the best teachers along the way. I think she must have listened to Beverly Sills, because I hear a little of Beverly Sills in her voice. Lovely and thank you for the beautiful singing (I am a voice teacher)
I have lost count of the number of recordings there are here on TH-cam including my all-time favourite Beverly Sills. Karina's version is in my humble opinion just stunningly gorgeous. Could she have grown up listening to Beverly's recordings? You've got my vote on that one because there is a lovely hint of similarity. (I'm nuts about Beverly) 😊

Hands down the best version of A Chloris. Marc Andre Hamelin contributes a lot to this by creating just the right atmosphere with the piano introduction (I could listen to this on repeat all day long). Gauvin is the icing on top of this (superb) performance.
When I heard the Susan Graham's version I thought it was the best, but now,,, I realize that there is nothing comparable to a big dramatic voice singing. Impressive!!!

I'm pretty new to Reynaldo Hahn's music (only knew of him through reading of his association with Proust), but this is simply gorgeous! And as for Madame Gauvin, such a clear, big, and inexhaustible voice as hers, it's a shame that only a select few culturati know of her here in America. She certainly has the chops to take Netrebko down a notch or two... Say, where was this taken out of? Anyone?
Une belle interprétation sans doute, ... mais un peu maniérée à mon goût. Susan Graham ou Marie-Nicole Lemieux me touchent bien davantage : leur technique me semble plus sobre, sans préciosité superflue. (Impression très subjective, of course!) ;-)
