Thank goodness this exists. All of the other interpretations are way too rushed.
I'm happy you liked my tempo :-)
shay aaa . Agreed. For me the whole piece is tumbling down in pause and slow motion. The pianist ( and Debussy) does good in making you look.
Watch paul barton. He is as good as him...
I was told to listen this Samson when I was learning this by my tutor, I love the pace it's not rushed I play as he's playing I now play at the same speed as him
Guys I’m a 13 year old that also played the Girl with the Flaxen Hair! Come check it out on my channel to help me out!
This is easily the most satisfying interpretation and performance of this piece I've ever heard. Beautiful.
Thank you :)))
egalitarianist absolutely. It's amazing how many people try play this piece well, but this man totally transcends it
This song is so calm i can listen to this all day
Oh, so nice. I just want this on repeat for the rest of my life.
+Katie Thompson I agree. I am also coming back to this video over and over again.
+Katie Thompson Wow thank you so much :))) Made me very happy!
+Mark Chan Thank you!!
The marriage of Mechanics, Sound, Consciousness, and Soul. For these are the components that produce good piano music. God Bless you.
Thank you for your warm and beautiful words! 😌
Truly breathtaking. Your emotion is displayed generously in the composition and the timing. It's clear you go entirely into a different realm while playing; a realm dictated only by the sound, and the feelings it invokes.
A true pianist seems to fall in love with the piano while playing, and begins to "feel" the music. This type of skill is evident in this piece. Thank you so much for sharing it with the world.
Thank you so much for these graceful words... You made me so happy.
I keep coming back to this beautiful version
Thank you very much!
I played that when I was young, It was an all time favorite, along with Clair de lune...YOU are wonderful BRAVO!
כולם פה צודקים! איזה יופי, כמה רגישות וחכמה בנגינה שלך!
So much soul what poured into this piece!
aki amano Thank you...
When I listen to this I think of spring and new life popping out of the ground after a long rain
That is so poetic and beautiful. Thank you.
Great rendition of the piece. Better than the Lang Lang version--you understand the delicate nature of the piece (Debussy expressed that with mf as the highest dynamic marking). Thanks!
This man and Evgeny Kissin are 1000 times better then Lang Lang. Not to say Lang Lang isn't great...he has done a lot to refresh classical music to a new younger audience.
We don’t need to compare anyone with anyone :)
Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. This is simple and lovely.
Dorina Koci Thank you Dorina!
Dear Tal-Haim, your all interpretation is wonderfull, top of the top...recording , playing, moving etc....
I love this piece, my favorite of Debussy, bravo..
Sylvain
Right pace, right timing, right kind of genius. Just wonderful. Thank you for playing and posting.
Thank you so much for your comment. I am really happy you thought all that.
Really beautiful, Bravo, thank you!
Thank you!
I am impressed with the delicacy and ingenuity that I can not express every much in words .
Sadness and anxiety disappear . This music has a tremendous power to act on the human soul .
Very beautiful words. Thank you.
He has such a depth of sensitivity that's rare.
Thank you for the big compliment!
I don't know how many times I came back to listen to this, and your version of this heavenly piece of music is absolutely the very best of all the different interpretations I have encountered. I love how slow it is. Every time I listen, my bone marrow starts to melt and I turn into golden light particles.
O my... That's so beautiful. Thank you so much for your words!
This is an incredible performance - and so expressive! I'm learning this piece and this is by far the best interpretation I've found. Thanks
Thank you so much.
Fantastic work. I’m a current piano minor and this one of the first pieces I’ve been learning. To say this interpretation is fantastic is an understatement. Truly amazing work
I really appreciate it! Thank you!
Beautiful rendition of a beautiful piece! I can tell you were very into the music:)
From the first time I ever heard this piece of music I saw bright, clear colours as if in raindrops. As it progresses the colours keep appearing and begin to merge into one another. It is so beautiful, and here it played expertly by Tal-Haim.
Such a beautiful picture you created there... Thank you so much...
Yes, Indeed Debussy has all these... A really great composer... Thanks so much for the insight! :-)
Incredibly beautiful, sensitive performance.

To be able to play like this... Wow. I've wished for so long I could continue my training, but to no avail. No money + expensive teachers = no lessons. Please never stop good sir, your work is masterful

Absolutely loved your take on this beautiful piece! Love from Egypt! :-)
Thank you! Much love here as well!
Sounds like love, the very pure love that you would have in the beginning of liking someone.
Very nice emotion indeed! Thank you!
Couldnt agree more, for me its like waking up in the morning , sit on the bed, look out at the window, the room is empty but your heart is filled with warmth as u realize that life is beautiful, not perfect but beautiful in its own way. Nway Debussy's are always Masterpiece for me, esp Clair de Lune and Reverie. :)
One of my favorite interpretations of this jem
🙏🏻 Thanks so much!
Perfectly and tenderly rendered. Thank you.
Thank you so much..
The fact that it's in G flat is even more relaxing. It's very soothing

Lindo!! Maravilhoso!!
My music teacher in school performed this at a piano recital.....I've loved it ever since! I love, in your performancy, how you feel what you play, you play with passion.........you're not just playing notes on a keyboard. So wonderful!
One of my favorites. Beautiful work man. :)
Beautiful music
I have it this my piano favorites list. I agree, most beautifully played. I love the relaxed pace.

Howard Levy Thank you, Howard!
So beautiful, how very talented you are...
That is so beautiful , it actually very nearly made me cry , so much feeling and focus and sensitivity , like you were painting the notes out in each moment , what an honest and humbling performance , thank you for doing what you do and all those years of practice and dedication and all that feeling . It's amazing to see a performer completely submit himself to the piece and not let anything else get in the way . A vessel for the feeling of the piece . Really , thanks for playing and thanks for sharing .
Hear hear!
just beautiful
Thank you!
it melts my heart
So beautiful!
Thank you!
Sublime performance!
Thank you so much!
wonderful, so understated but perfect
Thank you...
the way you play this is so beautiful
quite simply the best version of this I think is out there. You'll go far soon, my friend
My word you are a fantastic pianist. Debussy is one of my favorite composers, and this interpretation is brilliant. Such clear and elegant phrasing! My hat is off to you, sir. I think you play it as debussy would have, with beauty.
I love your interpretation!
Very beautifully done!
You made me so happy! Thank you, Yael!
Wow! Thanks so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, Matthew!
Beautiful! 💖😊💖

+katie boo Thank you so so much!
This piece is like a journey of emotions through my entire life, well almost in 2:55 sec
💗
And you played it absolutely wonderfully Tal-Haim Sammon. If wouldn't have got so balls deep in guitar maybe I would know how to play more Debussy songs I only know one or two. Never finished my piano training. But again always loved this song and you truly did it justice.
Thank you so much, Eric!! :-)
I'm embedding this on my blog. Very nice! I love the slow pace of certain parts of the melody. It's often played too quickly, I feel. But you nailed the tempo perfectly. Thank you.
I am so happy you enjoyed it and thank you so much for your words :)
wow man you made the piece live, you took it way further then most of the other versions i heard of the song. you seemed to be living in the music. i play this for an audition next week, definitely going to listen to your version a couple more times before then
Chopin was an avid user of 'rubato.' Is pieces had so much emotion, such beauty is unparalleled in terms of piano playing.
So beautiful
Thank you!
this is my favourite thank you so much!
+Denis Hardrock Thank you so much! :)
Thank you!!
you are truly amazing
This is beautiful! If I only had a fraction of your talent!
Thank you! I'm sure you have!
When I searched the piece on youtube, your video came up first. I'm so glad I stumbled across this rendition though. I love how you slowed it down momentarily at 1:37-1:38 and just preserved that moment of ecstatic joy for me. Thank you. Love this.
Thank you so much for all you felt and written!
Thank you so much! It made me very happy! :)
This interpretation is sublime.
+kriteon Wow thank you so much!
Beautiful. Thanks.
Thank you...
Amazing, you really feel this piece! Great interpretation, you're fantastic pianist :)
It never seizes to amaze me, the touch of a true pianist. I play guitar, but I have studied and played the piano enthusiastically for the past 5 years. The sadness that dwells within me is that I can never seem capably play a note on the piano as gently and as close to the sound of a drop as a pianist can. Beautiful interpretation, nevertheless, of one of my favourite composers.
Merci, Monsieur. Tout le meilleure
- Ørjan
Thank you so much, Ørjan... I'm so happy you enjoy. And I'm sure you have a beautiful sound..
Dude you gave me goosebumps! I LOVE this piece and you played it very well! With GREAT feeling! :D hanks for sharing! Thumbs up and I also added it in my favorites!!
I always think(maybe jz my opinion) that Debussy's Pieces are technically intricate, soft but deep emotionally, as if your heart is longing for something. It's not dramatic, its a simple story yet so beautiful.
Agree with you. Thank you.
Thank you so much....
Lovely...interesting interpretation of the tempo. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for listening and enjoying :)
This is thee most beautiful interpretation if this song I have heard yet! very memorizing and captivating. I kinda wished the video was longer. Not to mention you are very pleasing to the eyes. keep up the great work!!
Thank you!!
