Duuude the game feels really bad for me now as far as weight the ai and audio. The game feels terrible to play and I'm falling out of love w the game. Usually I play a ton right now I'm just playing other games man as eft is just a grind and I feel like my pmc is in molasses
This patch has definitely brought me back to the game and having a lot of fun. Play on NA servers and have probably only had 2? cheater encounters that were obvious. Audio is the main thing that bugs me but its not enough of a problem to make me stop playing.
I'm from Australia and our servers OCE are full of non English speaking cheaters, i can honestly say i run into them multiple times day at certain times of the day.
Yeah, gotcha. I know some regions definitely suffer a lot more than others because they're so restricted with what servers they can join. Super unfortunate.
i seen exacly one cheater since i started playing, he was flying above me. Have lvl 20 atm ( probobly around 40-50h of play time) so there is not many cheaters i think, but that could be the map, i mostly play innerchange/custom atm.
I havent played tarkov in a while cause of a problem with my PC i missed like three wipes and coming back holy shit I didnt realize how much i missed it. I played other Tarkov-esque shooters like the Cycle but none of them quite scratched that itch that tarkov satisfies as for cheaters I havent seen alot but I am only level 10 so maybe its just too early for me
See I have a different take on cheaters, I feel due to the sudden boom of players at the start of each wipe, we naturally have an increase In hackers / reddit posts. I find it hard to believe that 1 person has a flying hacker in his raid 10 runs in a row. I myself have found a single blatant hacker and I'm level 36 now. For the rest I agree 100%
Audio is so bad. And there is really no excuse for switching from Steam audio is this state. No longer being supported? Great, start moving away. But the current state shows there's no way that move was ready or right for the time being. It's honestly so bad.
I mean, I don't see a reason why they keep Steam audio. As we know, we are testers for the game and feedback is crucial. Steam audio is no longer supported so they've switched. It's fairly simple.

And you can say we are testers, but at $80+ .. how far are we from Beta testing these days? A game that is being sold and is in active development with "beta" slapped on ≠ Beta testing software. Also, they already knew the audio was bugged when they launched. They did NOT need feedback from the community to tell them that. They just needed to get the release out "on time" and made the call to ship 0.13 in this state. Audio bugs and all. It's fair to give them benefit of the doubt that they made the right call here, but to say "we're just testing" is such a cope.

It's hard to believe but they've always believed they could achieve it which gives me confidence. We all need to have a bit more patience and positivity when thinking about future updates. It doesn't do you any good being so pessimistic.
For the size he mentioned as the size of 4x interchange, it's definitely possible to have 40 different players but they must work on the server code and do some more optimizations

Tarkov has ruined every other FPS game for me as well. Just doesn't come close.

On the flip side, the increase in players can also drown out the amount of cheaters we see.
More players = less chance of a cheater being in raid.
