I use the 445A, which is the Alpine specific version of this unit. It is a direct plug in for an alpine head unit which makes for a real easy installation. The difference is a norticeable improvement in sound for the system. In my case, the install was in a Mazda Miata that always has the top down rather than an enclosed environment.
I have one, and its not too bad if you are driving speakers that have good sensitivity ratings. I originally had it installed with a aftermarket radio and factory speaker. Boy did the speakers come alive and i actually thought about leaving like it that. I then put in some older model GTO's that I found on clearance, not too bad. It should just get loud enough for most people that arent looking to be heard a block away. People can hear me from about 30-40ft away if i had the windows down and it turned all the way up. I also thought about bridging the unit and driving the front speakers, and running the rear off HU power.
I'd like to see a comparison between this and the only other player in mini-amps, the Pioneer GM-D1004 The pioneer is cheaper, but it is not nearly as popular which makes me wonder if there is something better about the alpine.
Question? would this be adequate to run polk 6.5 db's that are rated between 100 to 120 watts rms? Will 45 watts rms be enough to power these properly. is there a science to this? please help
I had a quick question does this amp give out the highest rms you can get if you got the alpine spr-60c in the front and spr-60 in the rear I think rms is 100 does this give the full.potential that.you can get with this amp
I purchased this a few years ago. downside in my opinion is there is no lights on item to say if it's not working or not. should have a bypass button. and last but not least made no difference at all. and don't try telling me I've wired it wrong. I 've been dealing and installing all types of audio for more than twenty years. I'm disappointed with this alpine ktp 445.
it must be defective then bro because this little amp I only have the gain turned 1/4 of the way up and I can only turn my stereo up like half way it's so loud and clear.

i like the alpine one. The alpine lets you adj gain and also has a crossover ( its underneath) the amp. Its been a little over 3 years and is still going strong.
ok thanks man! i was cheking the audiosystem CO 35.4 too.. less power.. but it looks very configurable.. and people say its better in quiallity of sound.. what do u think about it?? Thanks again!!!
@@letsgonow5641 how do.u set this amp up when you are talking about crossover .I'm putting in new alpine S-S69C and s-s65 speakers in my car threw the stock headunit.in front doors I got 6x9 with tweeters in the dash and the 6x5 in the rear doors .how u set up this amp for my set up when you are talking about crossover .tbh I rather have the 6x9 in the rear but we'll Toyota didbt think that
@@2009bigchief Hi its been some years i dont have that car anymore. I would set the 6x9 at 60hz and the 6.5 at 80hz. Its a good little amp i had it for about 6-7 years and had no problem. The guy i sold the car to eventually sold that car and put it in his other car and its still going.

Thinking of using this alongside to sets of Alpine SPS-610 6" speakers front and rear. Should power them nicely I think

I have one of these it is nothing like the one in the video mine ya plug and play not dip switches all it does is give me a small amount of power!
