Coops is very much the standard setter for any class... put him on any bike in any class and if you can hold on to his coat tails, or beat him, you can hold your head high... Richard will have a bit of a fight this year in the Sportbike class, think he will enjoy the battles... another class interview with a class rider..
Excellent interview with Richard a very skilled all round racer.... reminds me of another rider who I think is one of the best riders in the country and can ride any motorcycle on any circuit has fantastic mechanical knowledge...It would be great if you could interview Mike (Spike) Edwards....
ive worked with coops and he has proven again and again how fast he is and a cool guy. the time that sticks in my mind when he destroyed them in qualifying at Daytona on the BMW.Great memories just did a couple of laps and set pole then sat in the pits with everyone sat waiting for him to go out tp get the tow...that was cool.
Another great episode, and what a great man cave Coops has. Chatted to him at Chris Walkers shop second anniversary open day and what a great guy. Uncannily enough I thought sausages just before Richard said it, beans for me though. You really are living the dream Dave.
Richard Cooper a pro racer like all pro racers made of strong stuff I have nothing but complete admiration of these guys who do and achieve on a bike more than most of us could dream of with their awesome talent . Richard for me has earned the right to enter any race he wishes to do and those races are all the richer for him being there and what a great opportunity for aspiring talent to race against the calibre of Richard . What a trophy /history of achievements room "WOW" totally absorbing lovely interview guys well done cheers 👌👍
A fascinating chat with Richard Cooper, one of the best chats yet! The what decision would you have changed answer was something special maybe we can all learn from that. Thank you for another great podcast,
Cheers, Mark - quite probably the most personal chat I’ve ever done. So many questions brought up on the fly in response to Coopes articulate and honest answers 😊
I've liked Coops, ever since an ex boss of mine who was a club racer and haulage contractor for Tarmac had a right strop because Tarmac sponsored Coops and wouldn't help him lol. I like him even more now, and the convo about Roxy is one I've had about my 2 girls and my grandsons, this world that we may fear for them is going to be hard/scary etc, will be their world and won't bother them a single jot. Yet another great show, informative funny and emotional.😊
Great one again dave. Good one to show people that the boys & girl's are just normal people. Love a sasage, gravy, brown sauce for me. Mint memorabilia room Good to see
Great point Coops makes at the start ref the NW. Most people wont even think of is the mental capacity that's involved. Its worlds apart from 20 - 30 min races to doing longer road races. / events. I do a lot of car Sim Racing and 10000000% training your mind doing longer sessions is on a par with the physical training. Sim racing isn't as physically demanding as riding a bike but its certainly not easy. Having done 12hr races i can totally relate to what Coops is saying, you are in just zombie mode for a few days afterwards. The boys that do the NW / TT is something special /crazy they have to get re focused and go again effectively after playing a game of football btw you have another game in 1hr
Really enjoyed the pod, I listened at work but I’m now watching at home 👍yep I’m that sad 😂 . I completely agree about taking shortcuts and driving slow boils my piss! Seen Coopes and his family in FHO hospitality at thruxton last season his daughter is the cutest little thing! Another great chat Mate 👏👏
Have you got a secret lucky egg in your lid?. You're doing brilliant do what you do best. I'll be calling Cooper Autos 😆 for a T6 service (when your in the LE9 area)😊
