My son is also 3 years old and I just built him a custom bed based on a big-rig truck. This is something you can do yourself with easily available materials (wood, screws, hinges, brackets, paint, etc) and common tools. I put a screw in the middle and tied a pencil to a string. I attached the other end to the screw and drew a perfect circle. Then I used a jigsaw to cut it out. They do sell the plans on Etsy. I used the plans, then modified it to make it more interesting. Thanks for stopping by.
