      not really😂 they had all the right shapes , doesnt happen most of the time , a skilled loader wouldnt make the first mistake of leaving his partner to pad on the truck instead of bringing him padded items already , aswell as they used tape 90% of the time 😂😂😂 TAPE IS OUTDATED, USE RUBBERBANDS!!!!

      That packing is a mess. Items should be wrapped before coming to the truck. Pad and shrink wrap. Boxes together then furniture with help you save space. Good but not the most professional nor safest.

    20 years of experience here...i give it an A-. I wanted to hate cause Master movers and packer all like to create their own Art and use their own moves...but his fundamentals are great. Great layering, decent wrapping, very few gaps, nice platform creation for the grill, I'll assume that those plastic bins are lighter than those boxes they're on top of, AND those kinds of couches are not easy. Bravo!

    I have been a truck driver for 12 yrs now.. and when I moved I had movers come and load the truck. Well..... 😔 sighs..... no bueno! After about 30 mins they came to tell me I needed 2 trucks! I was like no! Much to my amazement.. there were gaps EVERYWHERE! I had them redo the whole truck and stand there to micromanage ppl who do this everyday! So I said the magic words! “ HAVE YOU EVER PLAYED TETRIS??” Well this is real life Tetris! I’ve got better things to do than to stand there and do your job for you! Not only would I hire these guys but I would tip them generously AND they’d be getting an outstanding report to their boss! These guys got it down!!! Bravo! 👏

      The company and Atlas agent I worked for had at least three stacks on each of the two trucks they had and we used, of dirty as they were blankets and many of them going or were ragged. Would use them up until none left often. Would be lucky if the owner actually got new or had many of them washed but still looking like they were over-use and still not clean. Not to mention the ones being used for items in storage units.

      Not just UPS does floor loads, I have delivered hauls of of trailers for TJX COrp. (TJ Maxx, HomeGoods) and they are hand loaded floor to just below ceiling wall to wall and each load separated by colored TAPE. Even seen video of how Dollar General/Store or Family Dollar loads are also loaded similar in fashion.

    Not bad. I load all my wide tiers first, all my stick, then it’s a box party after that. I hope you got a ladder 🪜 now. Try get the aluminum one. Those wooden ladders are a splinter risk and if they fall they break. This is not for everyone. I respect anyone who wakes up in the morning and decides that they want to move furniture. I will keep watching to the end. Thank you for the great video. Happy Travels

    Wow, what a cool video! I had early training when taking four teen-aged girls, in a small car, to the beach, with all their "necessities!" There are many hidden places in even a small car. As far as packing a truck "high and tight," even with help, that would be scary for me - ack! I can just see stuff falling on me! Securing plastic bins is def a good idea. And packing an appliance next to a sofa works, if it's done right. Fridges should be cleaned out, so mold won't be a problem. I've found that marking boxes helps, if even only for me. ;) And, that small boxes are easier to pack. The only things I seriously wrap, and box, are my stereo speakers, and my sewing machine, and my framed art. I've moved a lot, esp since Katrina, and I can tell you, these guys are fantastic! Oh, and I am addicted to that green plastic wrap stuff, that comes on a roll, and it's helped with some stuff, but with some stuff, it probably doesn't matter that much. Except that I absolutely must have it! Lol! I do remove the legs of kitchen tables, etc., and the Magic Green Plastic Wrap def helps with that. Great job, guys!

    • @Joshua79C
      @Joshua79C 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      "Green plastic wrap stuff, that comes on a roll" "Magic Green Plastic Wrap" good descriptions of Stretch Wrap and comes in more than green when rolled up as its an after effect per manufacturer or supply material used be it virgin or a mix with recycled or purposely colored. Also differing thickness and length. I have used many varieties in my moving experiences with a company and on my own moves along with when I worked in freight shipments for others, it definitely has grip and many good uses.
      You NEVER leave the legs on a kitchen or even coffee or end tables where they are removable, but when I did pack them I kept them packed along with the table in most cases, or if they can not be packed with the table would be bundled in a blanket or two and used for filler. Definitely if done right and oddly shaped a sofa can be loaded against the fridge or use the fridge to hold it base against the wall, if you have to put the sofa base against the fridge it helps to place a folded blanket between them, also remove the furnishings feet if possible to prevent scratches and keep them with the sofa wrapped up in a bundle with that Magic Plastic Wrap. I never place a packed picture where it will get pressed or damaged somehow, usually use it to fill a space again making sure it will not get crushed.

      In most cases yes but it depends on how the team does what they do.
      If you notice there were a lot of bigger furniture in which they put boxes inside them after loading it onto the truck had they wrapped that same Furniture prior to taking it to the truck especially if they put the boxes inside of it it would have made it much heavy and probably would not have been able to secure them.
      If they wrap that chair especially like a diaper prior to bringing it out the house they would not have had that extra space under the chair as they do in the video.

    • @Burte00
      @Burte00 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      It all depends on the box and the thickness. Most boxes have a max weight of 60-80lbs. So a 1.5 cubic feet book box will have the same max weight of a 3.0 medium box or a 4.5 large box. These are single wall thickness boxes. Now a Dishpack, which is a double thickness 5.2 cubic feet box has a max weight of 120 lbs. They are designed to hold dishes, hence the name

    Actualy not bad if it's a local load and delivery. Not if it is an interstate type of gig. All that servicing can be done in the house so the piece is padded in the house before bringing to truck. Plus I hate people that think shrink wrap protects a sofa. Shrink and pad dammit!!

    Pretty good job loading only thing is where are the straps. Need to be secure going long distance. 1 every couple of tears. Second the future needs to be wrapped in house. If it ain't wrapped don't bring it to the truck.

    Looks tight. It will ride well, but he did drop some boxes and re-do a lot of it. Plastic bins and odd boxes slow down the job and make it tougher on the loader. Your movers will love to load your boxes if you use standard dish pack 5.25, large 4.5, medium 3.5, and small 2.5 cubic feet moving boxes. So using boxes that you found at the grocery store or somewhere else that are all kinds of different sizes doesn't really save you money in the long run. Because it will take a bit more Time to make them all fit. Plus The dish pack boxes are double thick and will protect fragile items much better and carriers don't cover items or boxes that weren't properly packed. They cover boxes that were packed by themselves. It's best to pad and wrap in the house gents. It costs allot more to fix damages on the house than the furniture so pad and wrap in the house to protect the house and the furniture. That's the best way.

    I remember loading 40' drop frames with decks that would hold 4 tiers and skinny tier, deck wall was rounded on corners to boot...nothing but hobo rubber bands tape was only for mattress cartons, shrink wrap wasn't even thought of in the moving industry. Oh yeah used the short walk board for a tailgate. It had holes on each corner for that purpose.....I've said it for the past 20 years all the good help is dead

    What did you do about getting the items out of storage in reverse? Normally heavy, bulky items are loaded into storage much the same. If you need those same items to start with to load the truck, how do you go about taking out and organizing everything from storage without using up valuable (paid by customer) time?

      Celena Morgan if it's loaded out of storage is it mean it's broke out gone over the inventory checked off by the driver with exception sheet then repadded and loaded. Also a lot of times these are national accounts in the customer doesn't pay for nothing the company they work for does!

      The company I worked for with Atlas, we would not place a label on the furniture before its wrapped, we do that on the wrap itself if its going into warehouse or unit storage so as not to have to waste time unwrapping and rewrapping to check the label, since its stretch wrapped after padded for term storage. I even helped a few movers from other agency companies with other national/global moving services did the same for long distance moves.

    75 out 100!! That grill atop that drobe was a no no!!! High quality furniture is wrapped in-house, otherwise you drape it in the truck, base, boxes / bins , top load, mats, glass/ flats in between box springs . Use every inch if need be!! A full 53' footer is a great workout also, better have 4-5 guys who know their stuff!!! These two did OK though!!! I've 27 yrs. experience.

      Not a truck, been reading all the comments or skimming them and the OP replied to one stating it was just the upper deck (neck) of the trailer so it is either 40 something or 50 - 52 feet length, also you can notice the markings on the roof which sows it is a trailer.
