Both my vw beetle and t2 a bus have a subaru engine, was a cheaper 300 hp in almost stock form then a 2.5 ltr bug engine

This is a bad mfker . When I hear type 1 engine builders charging 15k for 230hp I’m like what in the *uck , I wonder how much motor I get from a EJ build for 15k 700-800 hp maybe 🤷🏽
