hunter peck This one time I entered Whiterun with quite a bit of bounty on my head. Then out of nowhere a dragon swooped in and started fucking shit up. You'd think the soldiers would concentrate on the problem at hand but instead they were too busy hacking me down whilst I tried to save their damn town from a motherfucking dragon. I died soon after....

hunter peck I had a dragon attack in Riverwood, so the people spent several days going about their daily lives with a dragon skeleton in the middle of town.
Let’s be honest, we were all severely disappointed when we couldn’t control the dragon.

Dogfighting a dragon while riding one is pretty fun for me, and kinda hope to be able to use bow so I can shoot them instead of rellying on lighting bolt

Took me 3 years to do the main storyline, because I'd always get distracted with a side quest or just killing everybody in a village because some kid insulted me.

Likewise. I've had Skyrim since Christmas 2012, and I still haven't finished the game. It is fun, though.
I think that it may be because the main story did not give me a sense of urgency to complete it - the stakes seemed to not be that high. I could kill dragons relatively easily so why would more of them be any more of a threat? I never saw towns leveled because of my inaction. I had no motivation to take down Alduin because what he was doing did not merit immediate action.
I would say that for me personally, the Mass Effect games did a great job of making me want to complete the main story. Bethesda has done it before with Fallout 3 (mainly because I wanted to f___ with the Enclave's plan). Its just that with Skyrim, they failed to make me invested in the main story.

It's about the principles.
If you sheathe your weapon they usually stop since the bounty is low. And a guard will just arrest you for a fee.

Bethesda screwed that up I wish you could steer them or give them direction and order different attacks.
Wyvern are not dragons, they dont breath fire and use a poisonous barbed tail to attack their prey

I play as a firemage, and like to keep some distance from the enemy and cast fireballs at them. Until Lydia runs in front of me and gets herself killed. Loaded savegames a few times to save her, but gave her up after killing her too many times.
riding a Dragon is totally worth it, however even more if you have the Mod: Skyrim Expanded oh makes flying around like so much better than horse or fast travel

WORTH IT !!
3,000 hours worth of gameplay. If you have a decent PC, then get it on Steam. Why? Because the mods on PC make the game soooooooooooooo much better. If not, then the console version is still pretty damn good. Take away the mods of course.

skyrim was based off of viking society, it just so happens the phrase "I took an arrow to the knee" means to have gotten married. so, just. a. random. fact.
No it doesn't. I've looked into it after that rumor started and no society has ever used that saying. The game developers made it up because they took out pants and just include it with armor, so it's like the knees have less protection. The whole rumor of the marriage thing came from a line in the game by one person who says "I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I settled down and got married." Someone then started the rumor.

No need to be pedantic. Wyverns are generally considered to be a type of dragon. St. George had a wyvern as his crest. And yet centuries later, we say St. George and the Dragon.

I Fus+Ro+Dah'd my Lydia off of the grey beards mountain, and then like 5 min later I turn around and there she is standing behind me. It made me VERY scared of her from that point onwards......
I was an archer and kept accidentally shooting my companions in the face during a fight.
Lydia is my favourite companion so I have to try and keep her alive for as long as possible.
One thing I never understood about having a companion in this game. If your skills are built from actually directly involving yourself in combat and your companion not only takes hits but hurts and kills the enemy effectively removing your ability to raise your skills... Why would you want a companion? No companion means means more opportunity to build your skills.
They're for all that baggage haha
Essentially I suppose it's like having a talking donkey.
I'm still not sure why anyone would want a talking donkey though, unless they want to ward away the stench of onions.
GregTom2 They can come in handy since they seem to like romancing dragons. And while the dragon is looking at your donkey so longingly you can stab it in the heart.
