Big G rushed Vargas into big fights ,tridad,Oscar ,did damaged to Vargas ,that made him easier to beat for mosely and mayorga ! The garcias were really poor ,Robert didn’t make too much $$ and was done by 26, big G was offered big $$$( both trainer /manager and father figure) and when you never had anything like that ,your judgement gets blinded by the $$$,the garcias owe Vargas big time ,it was his earning that made Roberts gym ! Too bad Vargas blew most of his money ,too young and didn’t think it his earning power was going to disappear by age 29¡
If it wasn't for The Garcia's taking Fernando in & teaching him the ropes, he wouldn't have been who he was. Fernando says it himself he was just a Lil barrio boy. He would have been a statistic. I live in Oxnard ,Oxnard in not huge town ! I’m about the same age as Robert ,I worked with Robert at technicolor back in 93 ,94 before his brief title reign !i speak because I know ! Yes the partying also shorten his career ,but all I said is truth,maybe Vargas feels that overall his life is better because of the Garcia’s ,which is probably truth also ,but he was also rushed and is earning helped Robert and big g set up the gym and get out of being poor ! The Garcia’s are not bad peoples by any means ,they groomed Vargas benefited from him ,just Vargas career could been better managed!
