Nicole would love to see you taking dahlia cuttings, i know you can do it, and keep an eye out for unusual blooms and keep seed for planting you never know what you may produce. Dahlias. Gah! I really enjoy this video. Awesome job! Also, you inspired me last month and I went onto Eden Brothers page and bought 2 large Old Rose mixed bags and 1 large Red Dahlia mixed bag. I’ve noticed that if I’m on my phone I can’t see what’s in the bag. I have gone on the Eden Brother site with my computer and when I click on the mixed bags an extra orange tab is on the left side under “planting instructions” and I can see the names of the blooms in the bag. So that was nice to see what I’ll be getting. And I wish I could say that this knowledge helped me curb my flower purchasing but it didn’t. There’s always room for more flowers! You probably already know this, but there yah go.
I’d love an update on how these turned out and which you recommend. I am weary of needing to dig up every year and then have to store over winter., but may attempt it for a few favs!💞tips and tricks appreciated before I am adding any of these. Love them. So beautiful and wonderful though! 💐💗
Jessica unfortunately none of the dahlias performed well this year due to severe drought. I speak about it in a few videos. I had very few blooms from 575 plants. 😭

I just placed my first order for Dalia tubers with Swan Island and I was so excited that I got three of the same ones that you had selected. I guess it means I have a good eye??
My dahlias got so big that even garden stakes were not enough to hold them. I'm thinking of buying bungee netting (like a cargo net) and am hoping that'll work out better.
Have you considered multiplying the number of dahlias you have by taking cuttings prior to planting them out in the field? I don’t have to dig mine up but I’d like to give it a try. Thanks
I started dahlias from seed before summer started, since I'm learning to care for them, when ready, I will purchase tubers, Floret is coming out with seeds! For larger varieties, not true to parent! That's okay
Yes, I did experience gall disease this year. I had to throw many tubers away. The soil can be removed or amended to remove the disease. There are mixtures you can make with bleach. I'm not exactly sure what the measurements are but you can find it online. Good luck!

Unless it was the wrong license. Are there different types of business licenses? Also, I saw that you were on the news a while back, you go girl!
It can get overwhelming trying to respond but I do my best! There are different types of licenses. In NYS all I needed was a DBA which is a "Doing Business As." You can also set up as an LLC, which costs much more.

good idea! I may give that a test, using painted rebar stakes to provide strong supports
please share about soil conditions for dahlia. I have clay like soil. What can I do to help dahlias grow in my backyard?
The tubers do not like to have wet feet, I'd suggest adding to your soil to break up the clay. Sand, peat, compost....something like that.

Not yet! I know many people do that. I'm not sure my season is long enough to successfully grow from cuttings. I might try some day!
