For me this really feels like an "intensified" version of the original. It's like if Karma had a "final round" version like the songs in Tekken 7~8.

I feel like lowkey sakurai as a fighting game fan didnt care for tekken 6, yet knew that the original electric fountain was one of the best pieces of video game music he ever heard so specifically ask the composers “ayo, remix karma”

Mkay so, about the whole original vs remix.. the original, and i feel all can agree, is the perfect Tekken track. Its got the right Tekken tempo, with the right Tekken rhythm. The remix, on the contrary, is Smash tempo. Its not meant for real one on one combat, since Smash itself isnt really meant to ((be FUN)) one on one combat. I get that its competitive as one on one. But, not everyone has fun being overly competitive. However everyone has fun when its utter chaos lmao. But i love them both, and deep down i bet everyone else does too😂
As sakurai said before: Smash is 5 times faster, while Tekken it's pretty much a slower fighting game, so in fact they had to speed up the tracks to fit in the tempo and it's valid, because the music tempo matters anyways.

You can take a look about that (also he has a yt channel about game design, he literally talks the same things as he does in that video), he explains in less words how hard is to make these characters work in Smash.
