I believe the box art was drawn by José Luis García-López, the living legend probably best known defining the standard looks for all the DC heroes through his industry style guides and merchandising art. He's a pretty huge get for Mezco (I'd argue he's the greatest superhero artist), so I'm surprised they didn't make a bigger deal of it, unless it's not newly commissioned art for this release.
