btw for the people who aren't aware why this song is so genius, this full version was made for LeaF's album "Doppelganger." The part at 2:07 (the genre switching) is actually switching between the styles of all the other songs in the album in order. I personally don't know if the chart does the engines by release order, but if so that's a very nice detail.
They 100% nabbed the idea from when this was used in the In the Groove tournament uksrt.

Is there any way to FC those modcharts like outer solution or dark sheep?
I mean the main problem is is that they take a lot of time to render as they're just videos behind the scenes with a mask
And clone hero doesn't have any other method to screw with the game so all you can do is play a background video with a mask over the top and have that as the "charg

What I think I love most about this modchart is that it never seemed unfair to read, even the brief upside down flip didn't seem too bad.

Yeah, comparing this to the Megalovania modchart LiterallyNoOne made, this one is far more fair. LNO had some extremely cool sections but it would take a lot of time and memorization to learn some parts

Same, but before Feedback, I made customs in Frets on Fire's built-in Song Editor as well as Freetar Editor. Feedback was a huge step up from those obsolete chart editors, but Feedback has eventually been outclassed by EOF and Moonscraper.
After seeing stuff like this in other games I was wondering when we'd see it in CH

acai’s done a couple here iirc! the coolest one i remember was the chart silent room’s outer solution (a remix of megalovania), where it was kind of like you were fighting sans through guitar hero
The ones I've seen him play are "Aleph-0" also by Leaf, "Outer Solution" by Silentroom and Tanchiky, and "Aegleseeker" by Silentroom and Frums. If you like what you see in modcharts, then check otu "NotITG", it's basically this, but for Dance games like DDR. And who knows, you might find a similar modchart there (wink wink).

Modcharts remind me a lot of the World's End mode from Chunithm. They're basically just as chaotic but they're official charts that you can play.
I first heard this extended version of Dopplganger in UKSRTX through NotITG, I was hooked on the modchart premise after seeing that and seeing everything come together. Nice to see Acai recreate my reactions pretty much exactly how I saw not only the NotITG chart, but also this mind melting clone hero modchart. If you are reading this PLEASE play the game and give some love to TaroNuke, the creator of the UKSRT AND dev of NotITG, the chart is HEAVILY inspired by that stage in UKSRTX.
If people think this is cool go give some love to TaroNuke and his Doppelganger chart used in UKSRT, a tournament for a game called In the Groove. This is very... let's be polite and say "inspired" by it.
Yep, that was Project Outfox with the different colors. Outfox is a modern rhythm game engine based on StepMania 5.X.
This is aswesome. I've only been playing CH for two years and I had no idea the engine could do all that. That's super cool major props to the creator(s)
It can't, the "mod" of it is actually a video playing with the usual fretboard turned completely see through to let the video pretend you're seeing the gameplay as usual, which lets it then fuck around with what you think is happening. This is visible by the fact the it looked like Acai never missed, none of the notes went past the bar, but the counter shows him dropping the combo plenty.

This is what I was imagining that other day, about what Clone Hero would be like if it had stops and note speed changing with BPM! If you've ever checked out Project Outfox's Guitar Hero game mode, you'll probably know what i'm talking about.

Hey look guys, it's the next part of the everhood playthrough.
Your playthroughs of modcharts was my favorite content few years back it's a shame people are so focused on memes and mashups and not stuff like this. No hate towards that stuff I love it, I love the mashup community but I really wish more love was given to crazy modcharts like this.
I like this modchart, I just wish they were more consistent with their signaling of the stops - there are stops that don't have any sustains announcing them, and sustains that don't do any stops. There's really no way to know except to just memorize that (the blue & red seemed accurate as far as I can see).
the readability & overall effects are really neat though, very fun to watch!

I remember FeedBack chart editor, but i had no idea how to play customs made with it, since CH didn't exist yet lol
At the time, after converting .chart to .mid with Mid2Chart (I think or what did I use?), .mid was compatible with Frets on Fire, FoFiX, and Phase Shift. I didn't know any games that directly supported .chart at the time but I believe Guitar Zero 2 did.
