So grateful for your informative video. We do not have wooden joists in our garage, - we have solid concrete, do you believe it possible to fit the rack ?
Hi Peter, I just installed a set of these last week. I intend to install the other set I bought this weekend. In short, it took A LONG time to install. Let me explain. I was working with a close clearance with the garage door, so a 22 inch clearance. That's the minimum clearance of the fleximounts. When I first installed it the garage door hit it. I needed to move the rack back like 24 inches in order for the garage door lip to clear. That was my fault. After moving the brackets and trying it again, it was perfect. I really like the look and sturdiness of it. But over two days, I have to say I probably spent a combined 8 real hours working on it. Also, when it came to the time to actually lift up the shelf to attach to the hanging brackets, it was such a pain. I don't see how one person can do it by themselves. The bungee cord method of hanging one side by bungee cord while placing the other side was definitely helpful. I think now that I know the steps, this weekend it'll probably just take me 3 hours or so maybe.
Finally someone who installed a bracket perpendicular to the joist. Almost all demos here in utube has parallel joist.
Thank you for being straight and to the point. Very helpful for my project to do today

Hi, I would give the company a call and get their advice for the type of anchors they recommend. I found them to be helpful.
The kits come with concrete anchors as well as lag screws.
Sir what size of the drill did you use? Thank you
Very nice!
Thanks!

is the squeaking camera at the end of every shot a dead giveaway that your wife is filming? or am i just being sexist? 😂
I hope your home is stick-built. Those ceiling-hung units are dangerous in a great majority of homes built these days.
