@Cain Cox the Greek too lie believe it or not,the orthodox religion have done a lot against the albanian people they have changed their language they change name and they don't want to let them to speak each others .forget about schools.
Αρχέγονος Ελλάς Ήπειρος haaaa what a brain wash. There aren’t Greeks in Greek imagine Albania. They are orthodox Albanian that kind of teases Greece governments to take Greeks passport to travel freely
Wow, Albania looks so much like Greece! And the Albanian food too! I was told and I had heard that Albanian beaches are like Greece's but it's something else exploring it yourself (through vlogs)!
Nicee I was in Himara 2 years ago it resembles Greece more and the population is majority Greek. We ate Greek Salad, Saganaki, Souvlaki there very relaxing place
They are not Greeks at all. They simply know Greek language, have been emigrants to Greece for many years and furthermore the traditions of Greeks of Greece and Albanians of Albania are totally similar as they used to be the same people until the creation of the Greek state. Just because they speak Greek, they are not Greeks. It's the same as you would say " people of Durres are Italians, as they can speak Italian and their food is the same as the Italian food." That little Greek minority that existed in Albania during communism, left Albania for good in 1991 when the borders opened and they never returned. Why should they? Even Albanians themselves left the country en- masse. The reason why I know that Greek minority left Albania is because they were my neighbours, I grew up with them and I kept contacts with them until few years ago through my dad whom as a lorry driver used to drive Albania - Greece and back. People in Himara get paid by the Greek government( they get pensions by them) to show that there is a Greek minority there. Albanians laugh all day long with those people, as their cousins around Albania say " we are not Greeks, how come my cousin is a Greek when his dad and my dad are brothers ?" This is Albania, a very misunderstood country in all aspects....

You should visit Highlands of Albanian 🏃♂️🏃♂️💪Theth.🇦🇱❤🖤or Mountain of Tomorr, with binoculars you can see Italy.21august until 25 has to many people hundred.
You idiot! There are no Greeks even in Greece, let alone in Albania if you like to talk about Albanians and Greeks. How do you know that Albanians are only mountain people, but not sea people? Did you follow them around to see where did they live? And Himara Greek !?!?!?!? Now I'm laughing too hard. Even during Communism, when everything was registered completely, Himara was never mentioned as a Greek minority, let alone now. All those 10 thousand Greek minorities that lived in Albania ( mainly in Dropull area) during communism, have vanished from Albania when Communism ended since 1991. They left Albania for good and never turned back. I know it very well, as they were my neighbours and I was surrounded by them. Not a single one remained in Albania and they never returned. The reason that I know about this, is because my dad was a driver Albania- Greece and we kept contacts and visited them( my dad) all the time until lately....we were good friends and neighbours. Albanians themselves left Albania, how could Greeks not leave Albania especially when they were welcomed in Greece with open arms? Those people that you call them " Greeks" are 100% Albanians who enjoy 300 Euros a month from Greek government who is trying to show to the world that there are " Greek minorities " in Albania. These people, the so- called" Greek minotities" are laughing their asses off with Greek money. Stop their money and I'll show you how " Greek" they are. Their Albanian cousins open their eyes when they hear that their cousins are " Greeks ". WTH! My cousin changed her name from Hatixhe to Christina just to get documents easily in Greece. I bet you call her a " Greek minority " too.🤣🤣🤣
Mountainers are Geg Albanians! South of Albania are Tosk... But Himariots people have Geg Albanian origin - that time was gone where they were considered Greeks to receive a pension...

Actually the majority in Himara are Greeks, that’s why the region offers satisfying tourism attractions.

Thanks for the reply :). How many days would you recommend to stay in Himara. Some people in forum said 2 days is enough.
