Hello Miranda. I am a bit behind this week and have just gotten to this video. As usual, I enjoyed everything about this episode, however, I literally squealed with joy when you talked about and showed your very lovely cross stitch project. I have cross stitched for nearing 40 years and it is my true passion and keeps me sane. Is the fabric you are working on a lilac shade? I have not heard of that artist, but her style is very beautiful and delicate which I adore. I hope you continue to show your progress and would love to see your previous finished projects. Does your mom cross stitch as well. Of course, I love your stunning cards. I purchased a really pretty card for my neighbor last night that has beautiful floral artwork but also contains a vintage style handkerchief that is foldedto become part of the design. I had not seen them before, but I love them. I also appreciate the sharing of some of your skin care favorites. The cleanser sounds very soothing. I am looking forward to Tea Reads. A lovely video which I watched whilst cross stitching. In my case a small design of a Beagle puppy whilst my real Beagle is snoring beside me. I am now going to check out Alicia Paulsons designs for future projects.

Beautiful stationary! I loved seeing cards from your collection - what a treat! Thank you for showing the inside of Field, Flower, Vase - I'm always dying to see the inside of any book. It looks gorgeous. I'm also a fan of oolong tea - especially the Milk Oolong from The Republic of Tea. If you ever want to try a sweetly scented oolong that smells almost creamy, look into that one :)
Love your cross-stitch progress so far! I wish I was able to cross-stitch. I used to love it - the little spools of colorful threads always cheered me up. Thank you for sharing such a fun and uplifting video today - your smile and laughter are infectious! xoxo :D

Kazuo Ishiguro would have had to contend with a contingent of disgruntled Friday Tea Reads fans...! I'm grateful you were able to put him aside. Your angst did not show, whatsoever, on camera. :) My favorite thing this week is happening as I type, our first taste of spring! A breeze is whistling through the window screens and rustling the curtains. The colors are almost haunting, the pale yellow grass and soft spring light giving the day that sepia tone of an old photograph--the perfect day to step back in time and read a book from a different century. I can't wait to check out Neptune Magazine. And The Simple Things, which I've had an eye on for a while. The new Slightly Foxed arrived a few days ago, and I'm so eager to leaf through it. This was a joy to watch--thank you!

I think listening to an audio book whilst hand sewing is one of the most relaxing, and mindful ways to spend time.
Glad to hear your mum is healing well. Isn't it lovely to find a skin care regime that suits your needs - I like something with a nice smell too, otherwise it can feel a bit medicinal.

Kitty Barne’s husband was related to Noel Streatfeild. I agree, TROTD is my favorite Ishiguro. I think there is a relationship between NLMG and KATS. What I love about his writing is how it stays with you xxx
Thank you, Rima! Yes, he was a cousin of Noel Streatfeild’s father, I think. That’s why a lot of Kitty Barne’s books are illustrated by Ruth Gervis (Noel Streatfeild’s eldest sister) xxx
What a treat, today, Miranda - you've managed to pack so much in! I love the cover of the Kitty Barne book. I had no idea about the Neptune magazine, thanks so much for mentioning it, I've ordered the next copy and will be browsing the others online. The selection of cards was gorgeous and a lovely heralding of springtime and Easter. I love fold-out and pop-out cards, too. I know you've featured the beautiful Cambridge Imprint papers already, and I've bought a few of their 3D cards . Have a lovely week!

Can anyone suggest an online site in the US that carries beautiful cards like this? I have no idea where to start looking.
You could try Etsy? Lots of artists sell their work there, so you should be able to find something you like.
