  • We're entering the EASIEST most PREDICTABLE fishing time of year! Don't miss it! After bass spawn they begin moving to their Summer haunts. These locations vary by type of fishery so pay close attention to Tim's details for different types of reservoirs and natural lakes. Once they've arrived at these Summer haunts they enter a period of predictable feed patterns and that's your opportunity to catch them!
    Whether you like to fish shallow or deep, there will be an opportunity for you in the week's to come. Fish will congregate in likely places at multiple depths and you can catch them with a variety of fun techniques. Don't try to hold on to your Spring time patterns, let them go, focus ahead, and you will succeed!
    Below you'll find links to Tim's top baits for this season. We've included his favorite sizes and colors for each. All the links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of each item.

    Just caught my PB smallmouth bass at 5lbs 2oz in a small New Jersey river about an hour ago from the shoreline. I'm still shaking. She ate a dark sleeper off of a bed. I've learned a lot from tournament fishing and reading, but I've learned an awful lot from you guys. Thank you, tightlines, and stay well.

    Hey Tim. Thank you for your great reports.👍🏻👍🏻. So I’m watching you holding up the Gavacho frog, and myself personally do not like where those hook points are sitting in the frog itself. Too much rubber in the way of those hook points. Do you bend the hooks out at all, or leave it? I saw your frog fish that came unbuttoned. Ugh. Been there, done that. Ugh. I’m just trying to be a better frog fisherman. We need all the advantages we can get with these fish. Especially the big uns!!!! Just something I noticed. I’m very observant, and listen very carefully to what you and Matt have to say. Thanks 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    Shallow fish don’t have to be punching and flipping and frog fish. I catch lots of them on rock and wood cover all year with jigs, Texas rig, Carolina rig, drop shot, top watered, and saved the best for last, spinnerbaits!

    Can you recommend a good gear ratio when fishing the 6xd and other deep cranks. I’m hearing both slow torquey 5 range and fast 8 burning range. Thanks as always for the video today.

    • @teddyfreeman7961
      @teddyfreeman7961 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Can’t go wrong anywhere in the 5 range. You start burning it be prepared to loose a lot of baits. Plus anything higher makes it feel like you’re dragging a log

    I've been following you guys for years, I enjoy your content and have learned a lot. With that being said, sadly most of what I've learned doesn't apply to where I fish. North Western coastal lakes. Y'all seem to forget we actually have a good population of large mouth but you have never actually covered our types of lakes. I challenge you to come to the Oregon coast and see if your tips and techniques can get it done in these locations.
    It's only a days drive up the I-5 from the California Delta.

    • @tacticalbassin
      @tacticalbassin  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We've fished some of your lakes and for the most part the "natural lake" information is 100% geared toward you. It defi timely works up there 👍🏼 We're in Tennessee now do jamming up and showing you isn't feasible but you'll have to take our word for it.

    Curious. How much weight do you think females lose by spawning? I caught a female this past weekend that was 21” but only weighed 4 pounds. She didn’t really fight like I think she normally could. I could tell it was very rough on her.
