They will then get the design for you, which will then tell you what areas of your land need to be cut and/or filled. You will also need to go to a geotechnical engineer to check out your soils. He'll run tests and advise whether the existing dirt you have is good enough to stay or if it needs to be removed and replaced with some better suitable material.
