I couldn’t stop listening to that first tune you made, it’s such a feel good demeanor you have that made me pick up my accordion and play along on the bass buttons. Nothing can beat a good old polka. This gives me inspiration to make some polkas of my own!
Alex Meixner Band - we are on the same wavelength! I sent you some 💵 today to your tip jar to thank you for all of the "concerts" I have attended online! I am a musician myself- so blown away by your stuff!
Bravo! Wonderful music. We were watching Banjo moving from place to place. He seemed to be enjoying it as well. Len did a search on Munda button boxes and you popped up in most of them. Thanks for continuing to bring happiness in our day!!!
ANOTHER SUPER GREAT POLKA I. U JUST KEEP BRINGING CHEER AND JOY TO ALL OF US WHO LOVE U AND WANT TO SEE AND HEAR U PLAY. CANT WAIT TO SEE U ON MUSIC FEST CELEBRATION HERE IN THE LEHIGH VALLEY. HOW DO U REMEMBER ALL THOSE POLKAS U PLAY. AND U ARE ALWAYS SMILING. AND UR SOOOOCUTE
Alex, my parents have seen you live and I want to someday soon once this is all behind us. Keep shining! Your technical videos and detailed explanations for all are much appreciated in these dark times! Sie sind ein spektakulärer Akkordeonspieler!

Wow! That’s great! I like your versions of those classics like Mom and Dads, and looking forward to learn Little Peoples Polka, wanted to send you a message, but after seeing this video I know that you know all the songs I love😆😆 getting more and more exited for the lessons! And those Meixner songs are GOOD! 😄 oh and I recognize all the songs, Ta sosedov Francelj, Lee and Ann’s, Mom and Dads, Little Peoples, Heavy Hitters, Hey Diandl? Greetings Chris
Alex, Don't know why this particular video triggered this memory.. Do you remember an elderly lady at Ironworld that would come up to the stage and play her spoons while you and your dad played???
Kudos to your camera person!!!!!!!!!! I hope one day I can shoot you with a really good video cam up close and personal on the Iron Range again... granted it's not as likely as it was several years ago.. But I can dream can't I? Until then , look forward to more videos like this!
It would be great to get back to the range again. We did a concert in Ely about 5 years ago on a concert tour... hoping to reprise that in the next year or so...
Bro you're awesome. Sugestion: when you play these steirische accordions use those steampunk glasses cause like other user said these accordions are the most steampunk thing ever LOL
Hello!I heard your Button Box playing for the first time.Very nice and I love you at first sight.I especially like the 12:27 song. What is the title of this song?I love playing your Button Box.Also, the shooting of your video cameraman is very good.Greetings from Japan.★★★★★ Daisuke
Thank you for enjoying the music and the video. The song you asked about is Little Peoples' Polka (recorded by Markic and Zagger on their Penn Ohio Polkas Unite album)-- but originally composed by Lojze Slak as Gremo Na Dolenjske (i think that's the right spelling of the title).. Hope you enjoy the other videos and can also enjoy and support www.patreon.com/alexmeixner
Great stuff, man. Just, where are you from and where does this music come from? It sounds pretty much like the norteño music we have here but I did not recognize any of the tunes, so I suppose that music must come from some European contry. Poland maybe? Thanks for sharing!
These are tunes that are Slovenian in origin (with Austrian influence as well) in the style that was developed by the immigrants in the Cleveland area in the 1920s and forward.
That wasn't just a little medley...that was an awesome 20 minutes of polka happiness!
That's a world class button box! Love that strong helikon bass sound!
Even the dog must stand up hearing this amazing presentation!
