Hi, first of all my compliments you did a fantastic job, sorry.but what make and model of bandsaw do you use to cut the shoes? Thank you and keep up the good work.
I want to add two inches to my shows like the way you was doing it first using the tape then pouring in some stuff then you sand it off what kind of stuff do i need to use to do that
No problem ☺️ it is a two part pedilen foam from a German company called ottobock. I believe it is similar to the polyurethane foam. The foam only serves to increase the surface area for the cement to adhere to. Some shoes don’t have lattice air pockets and so foam isn’t even necessary in those cases.
I get my left shoe altered for 2 and 1/4 inches and I never feel supported on my left side of ball of my foot. I always feel like I'm about to break an ankle
I broke my right femur when I was 3, back in 1969. The doctor who set my femur, set it wrong. I was in traction of 8 weeks, in a hospital. As a teen, the lean to the right started. All of my weight has been going to my right side, for a good portion of my life. I'm 58 now and it's brought on some hardcore osteoarthritis, in the right ankle. I'm wondering if this kind of shoe, will help.
What type of material are you using please? I need to increase the height of my sole on several shoes right side only to help with health issues. Could you direct me to the foam or rubber or whatever you're using please? Thanks
Hi there! This is amazing! I started making my daughter's shoe lifts very similar to your methods. May I ask what type of glue are you using to adhere the foams together? I've tried a few but always seem to fail after a month. I appreciate any tips!
Hello! Thank you for watching the video and it is very good information. I have polio in my right leg and my right leg is two and a half inches short. After watching this video, I also need the shoes you showed me. How can I be contacted?
We require a prescription to make these shoes for our patients in Canada. I’m sure any orthotic clinic in your local area can help you with this. Good luck :)
Hello thank you. That material is hard to find. What brand of band saw do you have. All the ones i have seen have a very low clearance. I bought one and could not slide or even get my shoe in to cut the bottom off. I have to do it by hand. could you tell me pls@@specialopslab8688
The punch holes are done to reduce weight with a big shoe raise like this one. I do not drill holes if the raise is less then 1.5”. The “epoxy” is actually superglue which I like using for the first layer that contacts the shoe. It fills any imperfections and also acts as a safety measure to prevent the raise from ripping away from the shoe (most likely spot where it will rip away from)
I live in Wisconsin and just sent my shoes to American Heeler for lift. They charge $85-110 for each shoe, depending on what height is needed. Honeycomb is more expensive, roughly $15 for each shoe.
This made me smile 😃 I hope you have a wonderful day
Thank you :) you as well
Very cool work.
I agree: great! And the music choice set the tone that you are doing meaningful work (which I think you are).
What a fine job. Best video I’ve seen. Thank you❤❤❤

Dont worry heroes everything gonna b okay🎉❤trust me gonna b fine
Love this video but the only thing missing is a very small rocker in the back. Not building but a user. Well done. Thank you.
Agreed. Great work but heel rocker must be added to aid in propulsion, reduce tension on Achilles.

What material did you glue on? Is it rubber, eva, pu? And which density?
Thanks for taking us on this fulfilling journey. What kind of two part rigid foam did you use here? Polyurethane?

I'm curious about doing my own 3d pritning for a 1 3/4" lift. Any thoughts?
Hi, I was wandering where do you buy the Eva foam?
What is the material that you have used as a sole
Very Interesting is there a way to lift a shoe without sawing off the original sole? Merry Christmas
I have the same situation and it affect my life , I'm begging to get a shoe like this

Turned the shoe into a boat.
Great Vid......What foam density are you using? Tried 2 lbs sp/in. and it was too soft. Felt like walking on the moon at the arcade. 😂

The only problem with such shoe raises is that they are very heavy
Exactly
I paid extra for a material that had holes punched it it. Saved quite a bit one the extra weight
I have a 2 inch leg discrepancy and mine are not heavy. Looks like the same material too.
And I thought I was the only one that had problems like this but not as bad only 1” to 1 1/4
Bro please reply how can I get this
I live in the US and I ordered my shoes modification from www.orthopedicshoelift.com/
