1 Reading books (not enemies to lovers smut) and apply what you read. 2 Watching podcasts (the intelligent ones) 3 become a creator (I'm shy idk if I'll do that)
Man , I came along your channel recently , and im really impressed by how you get to the point and provide actual practical information and actionable steps. This is easily one of the most useful videos that you've uploaded till now. I'm Really thankful for the book and podcast recommendations!
I go to yale university and i recommend you read the standard self improvement non-fiction books, books about wealthy or successful people, implement productivity hacks. Be sure to listen to podcasts from smart accredited people to. Finally, be creative. I am glad I didn't go to college
Podcasts help with my productivity. Like most people i dislike chores but whenever i pair doing those with listening to a podcast, i kind of look forward to it. I also gain more knowledge so it’s a win win
Reading only nonfiction isn't the only path to getting smart. Embracing both nonfiction and fiction is key to becoming a well-rounded thinker. Nonfiction sharpens your critical thinking and analysis by presenting factual information and logical frameworks. Meanwhile, fiction engages your imagination and deepens your understanding of characters and motives, boosting your empathy and emotional intelligence. Nonfiction expands your vocabulary in specific subjects and helps you articulate complex ideas clearly, while fiction enhances your overall language skills with its rich, diverse styles. Combining the structured learning of nonfiction with the imaginative experiences of fiction leads to comprehensive intellectual growth, blending analytical rigor with creative thinking for a more versatile intelligence.
thank u for this! majority of these, i already apply in my routine. but there are still some suggestions that intrigue me and i can’t wait to try these out. ❤
I’m reading the book “Limitless” by Jim Kwik, which teaches us to learn better and faster as well as things we should eat to keep our brains (the second brain is the stomach) in top shape 📚
For the psychology part, I also recommend those books. The first book is good if you wanna get away from toxic people, second book is self explanatory as well as the third.
I'm starting to see that more people these days are realizing that appearing competent and knowledgeable is important. Schools have failed us. I also strongly recommend people to use these books to create a Second Brain on Obsidian or something. You're prone to forget some things!
Colin's approach to integrating reading, watching educational content, and creating as pathways to intelligence is insightful! 📘 Leveraging these habits not only boosts personal growth but also enhances one's ability to contribute meaningfully to others' lives.
Damn man your content is goated I have watched you for a bit now and your advice is really solid more people should watch you and learn but anyways man sorry for interrupting your day man stay strong and goated and I hope that you get all the love and support you need ✌🏻💪
You see, if I didn't watch easy, actually's video of becoming smart. I would've carelessly god-smited you for appearing that this was a stolen title, but because I became smart after watching that video, I saw that you referenced and validated the original creator. Truly the proven videos. I hope both of you (specifically easy, actually) post more videos that simply complex or broad topics.
With books I much prefer reading fiction over non fiction, especially Science Fiction. They give a lot more to reflect and are more stimulating. These non fiction books mentioned in the video are best consumed as summaries (e.g. Blinkist), as in the end they condense to some key ideas.
The Business Lie Detector" is a must-read for anyone eager to uncover the untold truths about business, money, and success. It exposes insights and realities that are often kept hidden. For a true wake-up call, this book is essential!
Kids go to school to be exposed to many topics to figure out what interests them, to try out/fail and find what they are good at. Many people cannot do that and utilize the school environment to max, as no environment ever will be ideal or fairytale. Learning to ulitize any environment for your next steps in life is the key.
Great video, i clicked because I watched easy, actually. 2 nonfiction books I absolutely recommend is Moonwalking with Einstein, teaching you techniques on how to memorize anything, and Thinking Fast and Slow, because although some of the experiments may be faulty, it teaches you a variety of mental models that sharpen your critical thinking
Okay folks who are watching might have seen the title and even some comments from other people who say this title is from another channel named easy actually and yes that is true. Now the other comments just leave it at that but seeing how you copied the title word for word. May I suggest adding in the description credit to easy actually's channel or video. I don't mean to hat on Collin's video in fact I think Mr Chad is one of the best self improvement channel there are out there. However, you have to give credit to other people where it's due
I have a recommmemdation of a book which completely changed my life, motivated me in hard times and is one of the best books ever written. And it's name is 'BHAGWAT GITA'. Everyone can read this book no matter what religion he/she is as it teaches about dharma which is the way of living.
