I've had excellent results with Zoeller M53. With minimal maintenance, the float has never failed me during heavy storms including Sandy. Highly recommended for sleeping well at night.
those pumps with the floater switch mounted at the top always fail. ive spent thousans on several brands and replaced several of those top mounted floater switches and they all fail pretty quickly.. ive had the best luck with plug in float inline switches and cheap 80 dollar pumps the continue to work year after year
I have problems with the float that gets screwed to the pump and it flippes over when there is enough water. Usually the screw rust off and the float is bad in your pump won’t turn on.

Could you name the model of the in line switch you recommend?
I would also appreciated more info about the "float line switch" you use. Thanks!
