    Those cleans are nice and bell-like. Gotta be either because of the carved top, or the fixed bridge.

    What a great demo and beautiful guitar. Now should i get this in the e-ii version for better quality or just not worth it.

    I would have preferred block inlays made with mother of pearl and a strip of abalone in the middle of the mother of pearl. Would have taken this beautiful guitar to a whole new level.

    Hey Oli. I really enjoy your videos! I recently watched you review the 2020 Epiphone Les Paul Modern. I'm torn between that and the EC-1000 (w/ passives only). Between the two, which would you say is better sounding, has better playability and build quality? Thanks again for the reviews. Look forward to more!

    Hi, Oli. I like your guitar and your demo. Can you make a video of yourself playing some heavy metal riffs or songs with this ESP LTD EC-1000? Maybe you could play some Metallica, Megadeth, or Pantera? I think that would be cool.

    Thank you for the review ! Are the seymour Duncan Sentient and pegasus a Good alternative to active pu like emg ?

  • @snakebyte7271
    @snakebyte7271 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have the see thru black cherry with active emg's just having a hard time connecting with this guitar just can't seem to bond with it. replaced the 81/60 pups with the retro hot 70's & emg solderless system, don't get me wrong sounds fantastic, may go up for sale thou. What do think about stringing it with 9's on this, do think this might make a difference ? i have fat sausage fingers lol.

    I love everything about the guitar except the black graphite nut. A white graph tech nut would have been better

    • @Muzerino434
      @Muzerino434 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed. I’m changing mine to a bone one next week. And I think the nut is just plastic, not graphite.

      It took me about a day to get used to it, but with the white binding on the neck and headstock, the white really does look nicer. But to each their own. ✌🏻

    • @WILDFIRE096
      @WILDFIRE096 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OliRoyer Thanks for the reply! That's good to know, I owned an EC-1000 VB with a JB/59 Duncan combo for 6 years so I know how good these guitars can be! I sold that guitar, I don't know what came over me... now I'm thinking of getting one again, I'm torn between this and the Vintage Black. The fact that the gloss neck doesn't cause any issues is another point in favour of this model!

    Hi Oli,
    I'm just considering buying this beauty, the E2 Horizon 3 or the black/white Ibanez RG5321 (I think). Which one of these three u would choose and how much u like the EMG 57/66 that are on the Eclipse?

  • @flyingpancake1199
    @flyingpancake1199 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Does anyone know the main difference(s) between this ESP LTD EC-1000 and the E-II eclipse?
    Why is it that the E-II eclipse costs a thousand dollars more than the EC-1000?
    Is it the electronics? the nut? the tuners? the wood? esthetics? the bridge? the country it was built in?
    Thing is, I had a very bad experience with a cheap Jackson (wouldn't stay in tune) and now the thing I'm most concerned about is a steady tuning while playing.
    If anyone knows the reason for this price difference it would be really helpful to me, as I'm planning on buying one of these two models.

    • @OfRiffAndMan
      @OfRiffAndMan 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I haven't played any E-II's, but i have ec1000 and it's very good guitar. Feels and sounds amazing, everyone who played it said it's awesome. I'm sure that the price difference is because of different hardware and attention to detail, although I really don't think that it can be 1k better. Also, ltd locking tuners are great, I have no issues with them at all. I had to change pickup switch, but I heard that it's popular problem on these guitars, but I played for 2 years with it before changing. All that being said, I still want to have an e-ii eclipse :D someday... But for real, ec-1000 is great guitar. Soundwise i don't think that you will get much more from more expensive guitar. I really think that pickups makes the biggest difference, your hands and your style of playing.

    • @hunterhearsthelmsy1
      @hunterhearsthelmsy1 ปีที่แล้ว

      A little late but I'll let you know, eclipse is hand made guitar while ec is production made, eclipse is almost similar in hardware and everything except it is production made, and also eclipse can be customised as per your requirement, thus the higher price tag, but both are great guitars.

    I used to have an esp ltd eclipse with 22 frets and a traditional block neck joint and hated playing on the higher frets. And was just wondering how good is the upper fret access on this model?

    • @adamcastillo8929
      @adamcastillo8929 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OliRoyer Thanks man, I had one of the ec 256 models which was one of the budget ones. It was a great guitar except for like an actual les paul, the fret access wasn't too great. I know the ec 1000 range has a much nicer contour but I guess I should wait until guitar stores open up again so i could try them.

    • @Muzerino434
      @Muzerino434 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have the green flame finish on one of these and if you haven’t tried this guitar yet, the eclipse sculpted heel on the 24 fret neck is soooo easy for high fret access. Also as good as my Horizon. And way better than the LP or a Stratocaster.
