papasmurf995 if I'm not wrong the USA setup that he was running is really good at low speed rotation. But Silverstone is basically high speed corners so he was too unstable in those corners.
@@alexanderthegreat11 im wondering if the ai has a dry/wet talent or skill that's hidden, as in a few of my team races my teammate has been far better then me and typically fast ai were slow.
Haha yeah exactly. “It’s a wet race”, in quali “my rear end is shite” “I’ll reduce the airflow from the front wing”. Um what dude? In the wet you need to run a lot higher wings, you do in real life to. Think about the car trying to push through the water to get to the track to get better grip. You running normal wings will be like driving on ice, hence why your awful in the rain.
Ben, if the rear is unstable and lacks grip in the dry, why would you fix the stablility problem by lessening the front downforce instead of increasing the rear downforce especially when the majority of the race is in the wet, a type of condition where downforce is king and straight line speed is almost useless. More downforce allows from more grip in low grip conditions which means you can get out of the dirty air by using alternate lines through corners utilizing the grip advantage since straight line speed can't be really utilized in low grip conditions because you can't accelerate enough to use top speed and you have to brake so much earlier as well as being stuck to the racing line getting passed by high downforce-high grip set upped cars using every bit of track except the conventional racing line, because that's something you can do in the rain. get more downforce, get more grip, brake WAY later than the rest and then just chuck 'round the outside and wave the competition good bye during acceleration thanks to vastly superior traction because you've got grip for the days the the rest don't have any.
That was abysmal... as much as it hurts me to say this being a Ferrari fan i have to recognize, this was some Ferrari level type of strategy/performance hahaha
Look Ben, if you actually put on a wet setup, you have a lot more cornering speed and you can keep close to the Alpha, and if you’re close you can overtake him with slipstream and not being 2 seconds back at the beginning of the straight.

I play on the pad with no traction control. I stick overtake on before lights out and go about 12,000 revs and as soon as lights out gently accelerate until 2nd gear. All the AI bog down in 2nd gear and I cruise past maybe 2 or 3 cars. It isn't that hard so idk why Ben struggles so much
