I did not see this coming. For those not in the know: Harald Hammerstorm was the very first (then nameless) character that was purposefully made for Warhammer when GW decided to develop their own games. The cover of him bashing in a Skeleton Warriors skull is very iconic in the old WHFB community.
I just love it when bad guys fight other bad guys. It's not a matter of who's right anymore, than a matter of which one looks cooler while committing warcrimes
They're like the Nox bad guy from Wakfu. "We'll just erase all the bad and all the memories once we finish the evil." And it never ends up happening, and they're just left with guilt.
Tbh no one's fighting for the "right" in warhammer. Everyone is serving their own interest. Some coperate because their interests overlap, but wouldn't think twice to betray other for personal gains

That's pretty cool that they added Vlad to the mix, hinting that Harald Hammerstorm was bested by the only undead he couldn't defeat Big Boss Vlad Von Carstein.

Best hero addition we've had in years, he works so well as a supportive character in many armies. The amount of synergy Harald has with other lords is amazing, looking forward to see what players do with him in the PvP scene. Well done CA
The cool part about Mortkin was how he rejected Chaos in the end. That's not really applicable in the game, and what else unique would he bring over a generic Chaos Lord?
@@bluemobster0023He may not have lived past the end times, but unlike the majority of character deaths Harry the Hammer lost to VLAD VON CARSTEIN. Not a small feat for his goals, only thing better would be to fight Nagash resurrection.
1) The music when Harry is first starting to smash undead is AWESOME. 2) Apparently Vlad has been waiting in that one spot atop Imperial corpses all this time. They recreated his character select screen perfectly, just as they recreated Harry standing on the skulls perfectly. 3) The narrator is fantastic and gets me PUMPED.

As someone who just now learned about him, (pls don't kill me long time fans) this dude is sick as hell. The OG hammer man. Also, after reading his wiki page, I discovered that the trailer is basically an homage to his exact origin story, his final duel against Vlad, and at 1:31 its an awesome reference to his 7th edition model! CA nailed this trailer man.
Keep on pumping FLC's like this! Harald Hammerstorm is such a unique LH, with a fun and nostalgic background. I would never think that CA would add such an OG character to the game, but it is very much welcomed! Good job CA

Two things: 1: This guy IS John Warhammer. Pretty much the main character of the setting before the likes of Sigmar. 2: The ONLY Undead he couldn't defeat was Vlad, who killed him in The End Times.

For anyone who doesn't know: Harald was one of, if not the first named character to exist in the Warhammer Fantasy lore, being the physical embodiment of "Warhammer" before Ghal Maraz was a thing. Harald was originally named "Uthmog Elvenbane," and the name for Harald internally among GW was "Harry the Hammer," said internal name eventually leading to becoming "Harald Hammerstorm". I'm unsure exactly when the Harald Hammerstorm name became the canon, but I know this: Harald Hammerstorm was the primary inspiration for Sigmar Heldenhammer. Harald's Warhammer is even officially named "The Hammer of Harry" as a callback to that internal name. Yes. Sigmar, the face and soul of the Empire, was based on a Chaos Lord.
I like that they added some metal vibes in Warhammer 3 trailers. It gives the vibes to Forces of Chaos vibe. Sure, there are a lot of it in Darktide wich is suitable but I also like aome of it in fantasy setting like Warhammer. I kinda wish they would add more of it.

I'll be dead honest, never would I ever have expected this lad to be in this game (admittedly, I could say the same about Ghorst), but here, I ain't even mad. He looks fun. Just a solid beatstick that specialized in beating things with a stick.
I remember when Games Workshop released his miniature for the 25th Anniversary, that was my first Chaos mini as a kid. To see him in TWWIII is a fever dream lol.
They even recreated his most recent (and very much collector) miniature's terrain at 1:30 , nice job guys. And Harry the Hammer is the guy who can inflict fear upon the undeads. You had this guy in your army when facing undeads... Oh boy. OH BOY. He is the anti-undead chaos warrior.
I love how even the game acknowledge that hes a forgotten champion but i love the mental image of the gods of chaos just keeping him around like he's just there in like a staties like state frozen until they need him and its not because he annoyed them or anything its because he's to valuable to lose so when ever theres too many undeads to the point where even nurgle doesnt like it they send him in and well it gets messy

Funny considering Vlad just offhandedly kills him like it's nothing in End Times.
He also strips the undead trait in game. I have yet to try it but I think he can make undead route in battle due to this, as a nod to his WFH mechanic

Literally my favorite model, it is one of only 3 chaos models I got on display. So good! 1:30 made me giggle like a kid.

I'll be dead honest, never would I ever have expected this lad to be in this game (admittedly, I could say the same about Ghorst), but here, I ain't even mad. He looks fun. Just a solid beatstick that specialized in beating things with a stick.

I love how even the game acknowledge that hes a forgotten champion but i love the mental image of the gods of chaos just keeping him around like he's just there in like a staties like state frozen until they need him and its not because he annoyed them or anything its because he's to valuable to lose so when ever theres too many undeads to the point where even nurgle doesnt like it they send him in and well it gets messy

Too sad... Right? Even he was the 1 of Warhammer Guy from 1st Edition but his role never great as Archaon or even Mortkin or other main Chaos Lords.
So I can put him in Archaon's army and wreck Nagash whenever we get him in the game.
