      Currently this works with Hololens but there are several AR/VR devices we are working with. You can follow the progress of that here: mixedreality.trimble.com/

    Hi! Amazing. Is this possible exporting both IFC and DWG from Revit?

    • @leesnyder6784
      @leesnyder6784 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In Tekla Structures we are able to export the drawing annotations in their 3d space which is what allows the annotations to line up with the IFC file. I do not know enough about Revit to know if they have a similar option but if they do they you could export the IFC file and load it into TC and then upload the DWG file from Revit and view them together.

      @@leesnyder6784 Thanks Lee! As I am not a Tekla user I didn't know about that functionality. I will do a research about this to see if Revit is capable of doing the same :)

    Do the drawing annotations still export on the correct model coordinates if you export the IFC file using a Project Base Point instead of the Model Origin?

    • @leesnyder6784
      @leesnyder6784 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Otis! Yes if you have a project base point created then when you export the DWG it will show up in the "Model space coordinates" drop down list

    Hello!
    I have been trying this for some time now but it doesn't matter what I do my dwg export is correct located in x and y corrdinate but z is always 0.
    I'm running TS2018i sp9.
    Do you know what could be wrong?

    • @leesnyder6784
      @leesnyder6784 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Niklas! Off the top of my head I'm not sure what could be wrong. Could you send your model and dwg export settings to your local helpdesk so we can look into it further?

    I am having an issue where some but not all the annotations overlay with the 3D objects. Any idea what is causing this issue?

    • @leesnyder6784
      @leesnyder6784 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Arthur! I would recommend that you send the Tekla model with the drawings to your local help desk so they can investigate the issue and determine what's going on.

    When I opened the created dwg file in Trimble connect, that file seems to be inactive (highlighted red), I cannot click on the greyed eye icon. What could be the reason?

    • @leesnyder6784
      @leesnyder6784 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That typically means that Trimble Connect can't find the file location of the file. Meaning the file path was changed/moved somewhere else.
