Awesome! It would take a little bit more time and work.. but I was thinking you could also get some little 1\8 dowels, or even shikabob skewers, and drill the same size of hole in like 1\4" deep on each blocks where they'll attach. Then cut 1\2 dowel pieces and use wood glue to attach. That's what we did when I took woodshop in college. It helps to reinforce it and will keep things better attached, so it doesn't fall apart from its own weight. Also sanding the pieces where they'll be joined, for better glue adhesion. :) It looks great, I love it! :)

I can’t find those acrylic diamond gems stones at no dollar tree anyone know where I can find them

They are usually on the isle with the school supplies on near the posters or they have them on end caps throughout the store. They are hard to find. The sheet of gems that I used is about the equivalent of 4 packs of the Dollar Tree kind. I used 2 sheets. Yes, they cost more but they sparkle more and the adhesive is stronger. You will also have to cut the strips because it’s 1 whole sheet. You could use the online 40% off coupon on 1 item as long as it’s not already on sale. The regular price is $9.99 but they were on sale when bought mine. I hope you find them. 😃
