Truly one of the greatest characters ever created. Classic heroes fulfill a certain fantasy for us. With Hulk it's the fantasy of being able to overcome anything via rage. We all have that animal instinct. How many times have we wanted to punch our boss or teacher and we just grit our teeth. How often have we had trouble overcoming something and we just get mad and try again in order to succeed. The Hulk is that same thing times a million. We all live under stress and often want to smash something or break something but we can't because of concequences. Well Hulk can break anything he wants. Screw the concequences because no force can stop him anyway. What makes him a hero is that he just wants to be left alone and he is the literal avatar of God's wrath and yet decides to use his strength for good on occasion while never needing any validation at all. I really wish whoever decides to put him in a movie again understands him in this way.
Outstanding essay dealing with the Hulk's mythos and the two immutable Hulk laws: 1. "The madder Hulk gets, the stronger Hulk gets!", and 2. "Hulk is the strongest one there is!" Outstanding basic review of the Hulk's myriad powers. Please go into greater detail with respect to the Hulk's amazing, plethora of powers. There will always be two different Hulk characters. The one in the comics, and now the one in the Marvel cinematic universe that they castrated. They seem to keep making him even stronger in the comics, but on screen (movies and TV) they have ruined him.
The hulk is in my top 3 fiction heroes. Alongside of Yoda, and Martion man hunter. Hulk has a split personality. When i was a kid i had really bad anger issues. You forgot to talk about his running speed. The faster he runs his legs start to dig into the ground so he has to be careful how fast he runs because of his momentum. There is no actual knowing of how fast he can run.

I love Hulk, but he could never rival Silver Surfer with the writers nerfing him for a story 04:26. You have to understand, the Silver Surfer masters cosmic power, condensed from the entire universe that give him literal control of almost all matter in the universe itself, including gamma radiation. Silver Surfer is possibly the most misunderstood comic character of all time.
A more realistic portrayal of Hulk's strength would be if he windmilled Thor like a skillsaw through the arena floor, rubble flying at the crowd at mach 3, lets go of Thor like a sling so hard that Thor rebounds off the ceiling's forcefield (momentarily dimming all the lights in the city) and craters the ground. Thor gets up with a split lip and a more serious look on his face.
Hi! It would depend on which version of the Hulk we are talking about in my humble opinion and also if they could get to him before the fear/anger bulked him up. Even feeling free of his alter ego, Banner worked hard to bring back both bodies into one same entity once again and keep Hulk at bay.
This is why I found the fight in the film of Thanos over taking him to be bogus. Also, I don't think Superman can defeat him. If he can do all this, then he's definitely as his saying goes, "Hulks the strongest one there is"

No emotion is limitless therefore hulks strength being unlimited is a fan boy dream. Stan the man Lee himself said he created Thor to be stronger than the hulk so how can you erase what the creator of the character said?!? What makes marvel characters better than DC is thry have at least some form of restraint when writing characters and don't over power them. So, I don't know, that's just enough evidence to prove that the Hulk, in general, is just way too overpowered physically for most opponents he goes up against. So it's like either take him out fast or find some way to sedate him before he gets angry enough to where his power level is too high you can't sedate him. He's just way too strong, and it makes me even more excited for the next issue of the Fractured Son Hulk comic book to continue.
