Very helpful podcast. The struggle to be less reactionary and more thoughtful is real.

Great episode - of the many reasons I do GTD is the feeling when I unhook and know nothing requires my attention like unprocessed emails

    This is beautiful, guys!
I've been asked recently by my psychoanalyst if I really saw value in the time I spend clarifying, organizing and doind a weekly review, and these considerations were really on point!
The most important point for me was about the time to reflect if this is the right direction to go!

Great reflection. Indeed, pushing hard and going fast in the wrong direction is a recipe for disappointment and burnout. Yet it's not always instinctual to back up and assess under duress

Sometimes it seems like overhead (too much work) because you haven’t done it frequently enough.
Once you have integrated it into your life then it will take less and less time.
If you dont want to say “oh boy today is busy and i haven’t done anything and i’m fried” then GTD is for you

Great point here about little and often helping to integrate the habits

A junior programmer said I wrote 1000 lines of code. An intermediate level programmer said I refactored 1000 lines of code. A senior programmer said I prevented 1000 lines of code from being written. 🎉🎉🎉😂 16:10
