Everything is bigger in Texas including the crab. Man i'm jealous. Everytime i had to drive a big rig through there i could only dream about doing this. Usually i'm casting a net in a honky tonk or bar. The catch usually smells the same but hey, that's life.
Cameron thanks for bringing something different to us. My dad took me and my sibs crabbing a lot as a kid. We'd either boil em or use them in gumbo. Mmm I could smell the seasonings as you were cooking them. Great video!
that's exactly how we do it. super easy and fun. All these guys riding out 5 miles are working too hard!! Maybe not the highest quality crab coming out of Galveston but hey, still good eatin".
Man that was awewsome! Was this a public dock you were on at first? I would love to take my boys to do this they would have a blast and we love eating crab.
My Dad and I love to go out and trot line for blue crabs during the summer back in lower Delaware!. This was an awesome video man keep up the great work!
I'd love to catch a mess of blue crab like those here around Bridge City, but I'm only finding small ones. Love your videos. Thanks for all you do for us!
Great video! I’m in Houston…going to head down next week and see if I can catch some of these. Obviously you have to have a license, but is there a limit? Also, how long did you steam them? Sounded like you said 20 minutes? Thx!
One of the more better vids I enjoyed because most of your videos are long but no fish actions. Hopefully that gives you some idea, feedback to improve but this one was good
What spot is this in Galveston? I've been wanting to go crabbing again and Galveston is the place I used to go for fishing and crabbing, but the island closed off the spot my family and I used to go to down 8 mile road.
Where were you at? I got into crabbing about 5 years ago with my gf, but in Corpus. She passed unexpectedly 2 years ago. I’m just now wanting to get out and do it again.”, but would love a good spot like you had. I’m from South Houston, so pretty close by.
Hi, I'm planning a bucket list 2-3 week camping/fishing/crabbing road trip from Manitoba, Canada down to Galveston Island Park and maybe down to S. Padre Island in January or early Feb 2024. Will the season still be open for most small fish species and most crustaceans? Steve (67yrs).
Same at Walmart. The only time I buy meat from Walmart is to get that huge chicken drug bag for like $4.88 you get A LOT and it all stays in 1 nice lil bag to keep it all together unlike my sanity 🙃 haha
Hello. I’m gonna be in Galveston next month and I am very interested in getting a license and trying this. How do you stay abreast of contamination warnings?
Hey y’all what are some good crabbing spots and fishing spots in Galveston or anywhere south texas? I wanna learn to do this and I’ll be moving down there! Any tips, tricks, or spots will be helpful. Thank you!
Where is the best places in Galveston I went the other week and literally didn't get anything then went to the Texas city dike and only caught one keeper in like 10 hours please help😂
REALLY wish u would've followed thru & showed how u harvest the meat. I enjoy meals made from crab, but really don't get the appeal of eating directly from the crabs. To much work. Great vid though.🤙🎣
You lose so much flavor boiling them. Steam them! Sprinkle them with a little Old Bay then add a little beer and a little apple juice in pot and steam them up. You’ll never go back 🤙🏻🍻😂🎣
Cameron wiped out the entire blue crab population at the ramp 😂
😂😂
Somebody had to do it! Lol
Hey man there is plenty more where they came from

Excellent! Love to eat blue crabs
could you share the location?? We are going to go there this weekend. And my kids would like to try crabbing.
Do you have permission to catch?
Yes
I’m trying this ASAP! That was too easy!
You could ball up a few pieces of foil and put it in the bottom of your pot to steam them.
Very good tip! Thank you!

Get some ornamental rocks from a garden center and put in the bottom of the pot, steams all the crabs.

Thank you GG Anglers!
Good job boys
You are very informative. Thank you. What's the best time of day to go? Will they not bite during the heat of the day?

How was your trip
Unfortunately it didn’t happen and I missed some unusually mild weather too. Maybe next year.
Where did you get your custom dip net? Do you sell them?
Same at Walmart. The only time I buy meat from Walmart is to get that huge chicken drug bag for like $4.88 you get A LOT and it all stays in 1 nice lil bag to keep it all together unlike my sanity 🙃 haha

ever heard of soaking? Hope louisians don't see this comment
Not in water WTF ?
Great video, but you should clean them before cooking otherwise you cook them together with their shit ... which I frankly don't like. Enjoy your meal
They’re all males too it looks like
Why not keep female crabs?
Typically the males are bigger and we let the females reproduce!
What's the best time to steam them
Wheres the BEST place to go crabbing at? What part??
Literally anywhere in the bay with structure or grass lines or just a deeper area will have crabs. They LOVE docks though!
