    When I was little my mom took me to disneyworld and we stayed here when it was Wilsons World. One of my clearest and best memories as a kid was swimming in that pool and going under the waterfall. Back in the 80s the elevator was on the back side of the waterfall and you could see the people in there. Pretty neat how it looked. I miss my childhood. I also remember being terrified of Space mountain amd yelled the whole ride "were gonna die"!!! Haha I miss this place

    I remember when this was called wilsons world. This was the hotel we always went to and we loved it. I would love to go back one day. From what I remember there use to be some professor guy who did magic tricks and stuff in a kids club. Looks ok to me! :)

      Heh, I remember that. The magician who would get people up on stage. I remember he got me up on my birthday that night and squirted water in my face xD, then said as he was doing balloon stuff - pointed to me and said "This kid is gonna sign autographs whilst I make what you want!"
      I'll always remember it cos it was the closest room to the breakfast buffet and kids meal area that played mostly disney cartoons and the door further down the hall was an ice cream shop that had the delicious strawberry ice cream ever!

    Yes and we all rode horizons at epcot center too. They want you to think its just nostalgia but the truth is, It was a better and safer world back then.

    I used to stay here back in the 80's when it was Wilson World. It was nice back then. A friend of mine just stayed there in May 2014 and said the rugs were stained and damp. There were roaches and the place was filthy.

      For awhile it was part of the Ramada Maingate West, and it still had the nice mural paintings inside the atrium and karaoke music. It was really nice. I wish I had paid more attention to the painting, but they actually put lots of detail and love into the painting. I was impressed by the layout of the hotel and how cool it must have looked when it just came out. However, it's not Ramada anymore, and from the latest pictures I saw, they actually painted over all of the murals, so it's all gone now. It might even close as a hotel, but it is interesting to see who built the hotel. It was definitely a unique hotel concept.

    Someone made an abandoned urban exploring video of this on YT, but I'm struggling to find it because they wouldn't name it so people wouldn't go exploring in it. 🙄😤

    Don't let the pictures fool you. This place is a dump. This video must have been made 15 years ago when the place looked better. We stayed on 7/14/13 - 7/18/13. The hallways were littered with garbage, The heavy, chlorine reek of the indoor pool made my eyes water. My room was on the 4th floor all the way in the back, and I could still smell the pool from my room. We had some kind of small bugs crawling all over the bathroom counters all the time. My husband called them "piss ants"

      That's totally a shame, I remember wanting to stay there when my mom and myself managed to get back in 2010 but Virgin Holidays had taken out the listing in the brochure and we stayedat Rosen Inn (used to be called Rodeway Inn with the Shogun Restuarant). I still have a lot of fond memories of Wilson World when it used to be called that, cos I remember the TVs next to the elevators playing something like Leave It To Beaver or Little House On The Prairie. Was also a hell of a distance to get to Ponderosa as well since it was on the other side of the highway if I remember rightly!

    why would someone even need 4 washers and 6 dryers anyways unless your family are the duggers you should only need one washer and one dryer that works

    • @Lgrace
      @Lgrace 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Lindsay Huff although if the other 3 or 5 didn't work,i'd either put some kind of sign up letting guests know they didn't work or have them removed from the room

  • @shields503
    @shields503 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    The "laundry room" consisted of four ancient washers and six dryers. Only one washer worked and one dryer worked. Ceiling tiles were buckled and water stained. The front desk NEVER answered the phone. On the third day, our room only got half made up. We came back to our room at 7:00 pm and they hadn't make the beds or emptied the trash. Said it was a 4-5 star hotel, I'd give it a 1 star at best! Shuttles only run twice a day to the theme parks making them very inconvenient.

      @@claytonyoung9941 There are like 100+ other negative reviews about this hotel in these comments and on Trip Advisor. Why would you single out and respond to just my comment that is about 5 years old? Really random. By the way, my name is not Karen. I'm pretty opposite of a Karen truth be told. Calling every woman with an opinion a "Karen" is pretty lame and sexist. It's like calling a guy like you, "Old Man Who Shakes His Fist at Kids on his Lawn." I'm just trying to help other people avoid a really nasty Hotel if they can. I wish I'd known what it was like before I spent money on a room there. I am not a big fan of bugs running all over the bathroom or the gross smell of mildew everywhere. If you can't handle other people's reviews, stay out of the comments section. Did you own/run this dump? Is that why you're so sensitive?
