    So does it treat a flick up as pressing the button and and a flick down as letting go of the button?

    Hey! So I actually ended up doing the same thing you did on my Ahsoka sabers from Galaxy's Edge, but ended up going with a Proffie board instead of a CFX. Everything works great, except the blade colors seem to be way off. I realized this is probably due to the three pin system instead of a normal 5 or 7 pin setup with a normal neopixel pcb connector. I ended up wiring the battery chassis in parallel and swapping the batteries out for 350 mAh 10440 batteries which are the same size as the AAA batteries that were originally in the holder. For whatever reason, only a few legacy sabers use AA and I wish these ones did since I'd rather use 14500s like you ended up using. Are you able to create a true white blade or clash with your setup? I'm debating adding the capacitors on the blade to see if that helps, but I figure I'd ask what you did first!

    Edit: Found the answer on reddit just posting back here for others here. AA's don't have enough discharge output, so 14500s are better.
    Just in the process of gathering parts for converting the same saber! The quality of the hilt is amazing so I can't wait to get some WS2812B/SK6812 LEDs in there and some proper motion capture with smoothswing. Just one question, did you ever swap the AA batteries for a 18650? In my opinion it's really not needed since the AA batteries in the hilt are in a series configuration. This puts the voltage almost on par with a 18650 (3.6V for 3 rechargeable AAs) and the capacity would be almost on par when using some 3100mah AAs I've been looking at on Amazon. Am I understanding this right? Sorry I'm still pretty new when it comes to electrical stuff. Just wondering what your thoughts are. Also congratulations on the finished build! It turned out amazing.

    Is a second auxiliary switch an option with a build like this? Amazing work by the way , will be doing a custom Savi saber in February and I wonder if this is possible with that chasis.

    • @Derek199574
      @Derek199574  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      LegendaryMoji CFX board has many different switch configurations. Recently single activation switch features have been enabled so that you can use many of the board’s functions. Prior it was either:
      Latching + Aux switch or
      Momentary + Aux switch or
      Single Latching or Momentary switch no features

    i'd hope you actually explain how the control actually works with the switch...

    • @Derek199574
      @Derek199574  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MZJ it’s pretty straight forward, when setting up the config file you just select whichever switch mode corresponds to your build, in this case single “momentary”. Then you just use the switch as you would a momentary switch. On and Off.

      @@Derek199574 Interesting! So instead of leaving the switch latched, as it would operate from factory, you are quickly activating and then deactivating the latch switch to act as a momentary switch?

    • @Derek199574
      @Derek199574  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Tsondie21 Rockets yupp that’s exactly how I’m using it. Currently on the search for a spring loaded switch that’s in the same form factor. But for now using the latching switch isn’t that bad.

    • @Derek199574
      @Derek199574  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Tsondie21 Rockets CFX board also has nice delays you can set so that you don’t struggle with a single switch, even if it’s momentary. So for power off I “hold” it On for 1.5 seconds. To reboot the board into font selection it’s 3 seconds.

      @@Derek199574 Is there any way you could upload your configuration for the CFX board for this? I'm configuring my board now and I think I've got a handle on it, but I'm curious as to what setting you used.
