I love how forward and pushy the timing is. With most other DnB drummers you can tell they can just about keep up, but this guy is fully on top of it. He could probably even play it a lot faster
I think the key is "just", maybe he is having fun but not "just fun". He explained he begun this in a very bad mental health and then keeping going it becomes work, so i think he is doing adjustments to his life now
Maybe you watched this video several times and noticed a lot of details I missed. This was the only time I watched it, and doing it while commenting ain’t easy. So I might have missed a few things and I don’t see how that could be a problem.
@@AlessandroSpenga oh im sry i pointed it out for no particular reason. if how i wrote my comment made it seem aggressive or something thats not what i was going for. i just found it funny thats all. english is not my first language so maybe i could have worded it better.😅
from other videos I have watched from him it must be a turbo crasher. Normally it is used with the hand. But he tends to play it with a foot pedal, in some videos with his left foot, in some with the right foot. The ways it sounds here, for me he is using a dualist pedal to play the turbo crasher.
@@manuelmallo2574The latter I can confirm. When you zoom in the foot cam of the original video you can see his Duallist pedal. This is (if I’m correct) a pedal which can be changed between single and double and is also used for example in Blind lights. He should also have a video dedicated to this pedal on his channel.
you actually caught everything he was doing. kudos to you, and nice 16th bell!

Have you checked out Jo Jo mayers dnb improv band? It’s amazing.
Its crazy how every limb is doing something different. That has to take immense practice to achieve.
It’s gotta be also very focused practice
I love seeing so many channels having drum n bass on it as a result of him covering it. ❤ also this song is legendary in dnb lol
Check out his (put together/edited more clips in one video) one hand drumming..

He’s achieved the impossible. I’d be happy to see him take care of himself by doing what he feels right.
He is just 27or 28 but already looks like he is in mid thirties.
Have you noticed that on the bit you were trying to mimic , el estepario was playing it with the back of the drum stick?🤔🤔
No
you notice how he held the stick but you didnt :D at 1:40 he flipped it 180 as well so he is hitting the cymbal with the thick end of the stick :D

I still have to understand what he's playing with the right pedal, is it a tambourine?
Some percussion. I can’t remember its name. I think Thomas Lang plays the same thing
